wow...someone agrees with me for once! nice! what i have to say to this, though, is that if it was a combatant, he'd prolly run to a mosque because he knows we won't shoot in there...although he might not know that, considering how much stuff we bomb, they prolly have no idea what we try NOT to bomb.

Oh they know. They used Mosques to safe guard weapons and troops and still do. Everyone one of them knows to use a Mosque for protection. They trained on that before we got there. Still using them today for stockpiling supplies.

Well, it's not designed to do air to air combat or anything. It just pounds the ground. The AC-130 starts life as a cargo plane after all. If it were to go into an area where the enemy had some air power, it'd be escorted by some fighters.

When they're unleashing hell upon whatever poor saps they've got in their sights, they do what's called a 'turn around a point'. Basically, they fly a circular pattern around their target.

The pilot in command is in the left seat in the cockpit. Being on the left side of the cockpit, you have better visibility to the left side of the plane, thus making it a lot easier to circle around a point/target. Easier maneuvering = smoother ride = better accuracy. That's why the weapons are on the left side.

you're right..we don't fly planes into buildings. it requires balls to do that. doesn't require balls to do what that video is displaying.

instead, we take over other countries (see noriega, school of americas, chile, etc etc) with brute force. for instance, september 11, 1973 (i think the year is right), there was a coup against a democratically elected president in chile..backed by the united states. we then put in a dictator, augusto pinochet, who was responsible for thousands of human rights violations. thousands died as a result of this coup, and thousands died because of pinochet. yet american lives are more valuable than chilean lives?

here's the problem. people(AMERICANS) think american lives are more valuable than anyone else's. we expected the WORLD to mourn for our people lost on 9/11/01. but WHO IN AMERICA mourned on 9/11/73? who mourns for the civilians lost in iraq, afghanistan? not many. know why? cuz somehow americans' lives are more valuable. you can argue it's because THEY attacked US. well yknow what, i would argue WE attacked THEM first, and it wasn't the CIVILIANS in these countries attacking US.

Who appointed you to decide how "americans" morn and think? I morn them all. But I make a clear distinction between killing innocent people on purpose from killing them accidently while trying to kill people intent on destroying my own.

you think the killing of chilean innocents was accidental? or any of the other coups we've supported? NO. because for a coup to work, innocents have to die. such is life.

considering most people didn't/don't even know about september 11,1973, it's hard for them to mourn the incident. the majority of americans are ignorant of our foreign policy, and are just happy with their own selfish security.

and how are suicide bombers any more cowards than the bombers in the video on this thread?

we even go as far to use unmanned drones to do our dirty work for us, while we sit back safely in our bases. where's the honor in that? how is that LESS cowardly than strapping bombs to yourself and giving your life for a cause you believe in?
