So in the end, all that matters to you as an individual is what YOU believe. Personally, while I think that the US has done some pretty shady things in the past, present, and probably the future, I STILL think that I am better off here than, say, North Korea. That DOES NOT mean that I support every action of our government. The great thing about this nation is that you can think what you want, and if you feel the need, shout it from a soapbox on the corner WITHOUT being dragged off to jail or killed on the spot.

So fuel the fire of debate simply because you CAN! A communist American is still American, and entitled to his/her oppinion, no?

The term "Barbara Streisand" does not show up on dictionary.com. However, "ignorance" is defined as

the lack of knowledge or education; The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed.

I am not posting to agree or disagree with anybody because the fact is everybody has their own believes and none of them are wrong, just because I don't believe them.

What I am here to say is this: It is damned near impossible to tell the innocents from the combatants in today's modern combat situations. If you take 50 Afganis and line them up side by side you will have no clue what-so-ever which one of them was in the last battle shooting at Americans(unless of course he is holding a gun). You can't know which ones are planning on putting a bomb on their chest and blowing themselves up infront of a hospital the next day.

The same situation was in Vietnam. Sure the regulars were pretty easy to pick out mainly because of the uniforms but look at the Viet Cong, the real threat to Americans in that war. We had absolutly no clue who was a VC and who wasn't. Traditionally, America never fires on children, women, and old people. The only problem with that is, now a days children, women, and old people are combatants. Kids walked into American bases with a backpack on full of dynomite and blew it sky high. One of the most brutal snipers and torturers of the VC was a woman nick-named "the Apache" because she would deliberatly wound Americans, capture them, and right inside the treeline of a US firebase, she cut off their eye lids, threw dust into their faces, rammed bamboo under their finernails then broke their fingers at the knuckles. Then she told them that they would be allowed to live! but only if they could get back to the firebase after having their entire genetalia cut off. You can read the story of this woman in Carlos Hathcock's autobiography called "Marine Sniper." Hathcock is the guy that killed her.

The point of this arguement is that in today's guerilla warfare anybody can be innocent and anybody can be a combatant. The only way to be sure is to take no prisoners.

Personally Im elated that the US decided to do somthing about regimes that pose a threat to our security.

Regime change in Iraq has always been a well know stated US policy It was the policy in the Clinton Administration as it is in the Bush Administration.

While clinton just threw a few tomahawks here, blew up a few bases here and there... Trade sanctions here and there... kinda half arsing it... It simply pissed the terrorists off while promoting the "paper tiger" image of the US. While the missused oil for food program just went into the pocket of Saddam while his country starved. Further pissing people off...

Bush decided to go all the way and demonstrated the resolve of the american people and demonstrated we as a united country will not tolerate such actions.

Now we have 2 less rouge states to worry about. Sure there are always going to be pissed off terrorists but at least now they have 2 less places to hide and 2 less sources of money.

Now, Maybe, just maybe next time they will think twice about flying planes into buildings.

Ask an iraqi that left his country because of opression nearly 100 percent support the action.

The Latest Bahgdad university poll shows greater than 70 percent support for the coalition. Thats MORE THAN HERE! in the USA!!
