Not Bad Garbage PickingToday

I scored a proto (not the best, but not bad either) slide hammer at a garage sale for $3, a gas can for $1, and a little case of small drawers for $3.

I got 2 VCR's, 1 TV, and 1 monitor from an automotive shops garbage and they were all broken intentionally. They were all opened and someone beat the insides with a hammer or somthing, guess they saw me comming.

Just pulled about 12 hockey sticks out of a garbage too

if you ever see a roll off dumpster at the mall ALWAYS stop and look inside I have enough wall and isle displays to furnish our shop once we have the floor space, I also got several t.v.s from stores closing

LOL almost arrested for stealing trash thats nothing, I did get arrested for that. They tracked me down and arrested me in my friends living room infront of his parents, it happened to be the first time they met me, i left a good first impression.

Who got the leaf blower? I got one once but I don't remember if I said it in this thread or not. BTW it's not for sale. It's a piece of crap, wont even blow leaves like its supposed to.

Twelve unopened cases of coke left behind the cafeteria. I asked the lunch lady why they were just chilling there and she goes "Some frat ordered them two weeks ago, but they never came to get them. We are hoping some students will take em"....so I borrowed a shopping cart from Harris Teeter and took all 12 cases. Now I have 288 cans of coke, waiting for me to drink.

....that reminds me of tha episode of family guy where peter becomes like the vice president of the cigarette company and he is in his office, and he sticks all his pencils in the pencil sharpener...he sticks his finger in later, then he looks at it, and the next thing you hear is "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"....so do not do that with a laminater

I havn't been in this thread for a while, so update
Found a set of power seats for my car - mint condition
Found a set of door panels for a newer camaro - mint condition
Found 2 sawzalls, one needed a brush and a brush spring ($1.50) another needed a switch $7
Found an electric snowblower, works but is on its way out due to not having a ground
Found an electric hedge trimmer (havn't tested it yet)
Sansui 6060 receiver (broken but still worth a couple bucks
Small block chevy - It was actually at the curb in a huge pile of garbage but the bores had nasty rust
Squirril/small animal trap in the same pile
Brand new shovel - same pile
Tonight I found an old 2 cycle snowblower, really old but I dumped the old gas, put new stuff in and it started right up. It calles for 18-1 w30 oil, anyone know if I should use regular w30 oil or 2 cylce?

That's all I can think of right now but I know their is more

Just remembered the other 8hp briggs and stratton industrial leaf blower. This one had a rod shattered into a million pieces and rust all over it though.

about 2 weeks ago i saw a desk looking thing in the dumpster of my work, so i tell my boss, we go out there to check it out, it was a video shelf for the movie rental place, so i jumped inthe dumpster and found a bunch of posters and a box of penut m&m's nothing really worth anything though.
