Pissed off almost an entire class today

I had no idea how many liberals were in one of my classes. I think there may be a few more things to it but We had a class dicusion today and someone said the NRA is evil and i couldn't let that go. I grew up shooting started when i was 8 with 22mms. sinc ethen i have shoot many guns my favorite is muzzle-loaders. I have alot of fond memories of events at the range with my father, how can people condem things when they have no clue what goes on. so I let this girl have it and now i'm sure half the class thinks i'm crazy but its college and this was the last class before our exam so i don't care. The NRA and groups like them look out for the interest of gun owners. Now i don't want to own a Ak-47 or anything but i do want to keep the right to shoot and hunt and I feel the NRA looks out for poeple like me, i openly support any group that protects the rights of poeple law makers often forget such as sportsmen. I cant stand poeple are armed with blind facts i shocked this girl knew in Florida you can hunt pigs year round on private property she said "pigs have a right to be here and they we're here first" no thats wrong pigs are not native they are farrel and they do alot of damage to the land as well and killing native animals but thats a diffrent rant. I will say that in 5 years at our lease we only shot 3 pigs between 5 poeple its some of the best pork suasage you'll ever get. She also managed to pop out a few other stats about accidents with guns in homes and shottings and stuff. But the fact is anyone the more you know and respect the guns in your home the safer you are. There is a large gun safe in my house and when i was little my dad let my brother and i try to open in for about 30 minutes to show us it wasn't happening needless to say i've never tuched one of our guns when my parents didn't know it. Now i'm not sure how "red" or "blue" AO is but i hope everyone out there is alittle bit more open minded then the members of this class and i hope you all will be aware of poeple with blind facts

Alot of people dont know what they are talking, the run their mouth with complete no sense to make it seem like they know something.

About the pig hunting in Florida, its funny to see everyone down here hunt them. Like no one on my side of town hunts because there is no woods or anything, but in the like un commercialized part of my town known as the "farms" there is a huge amount of farm land and wild pig and alot of rednecks. They literally drive down the street with about 5 guys in the beds of their pick ups and shoot pigs while moving and then stop to pick up the body. Florida people are crazy. I find it funny .

I was driving to get to paintball one morning and im am going along my merry way and all of a sudden this massive lifted chevy pulls up next to me, the bed right at my driver side window, everyone in the bed had a rifle in hand. I was like wtf, then they kept following me for a good 2 miles, kept the same speed as me, then all of a sudden all 5 of them shoot. I freaked, then they slam on the brakes and I look behind me, there were 2 dead pigs, they shot over my car to shoot the pigs. Scared the crap outta me.

now i understand what you are saying, but not all democrats or "liberals" are like that.
me for example, i am on the left or center on almost eveything. but by the same token that i am for those things ( right to chose and other things) i think people should have the right to bear arms. hell i dont even own a gun,but living in texas most of my life i have shoot my fair share of guns, and i dont believe they are evil. i am not part of the NRA because they support politicians that go against alot of things i believe. but i am not going to call them evil. i have very found memories of shooting at ranges and trying to hunt with my friends ... who are all democrats to.

just want to let you know, there are diffirent opinions within a party or political leaning.

So when this ditz in your class starts up on the NRA and all of her left-wing, bleeding heart, tree hugging crap tell the long hair, dope smoking, hemp and sandal wearing, tofu eatting, hippie to shove it, and look at the facts. The NRA is defender of the constitution (namely the 2nd amendment), and that they help keep the socialists who want to take away our right to hunt, and defend ourselves (cuz my home alarm system is a rottweiler/akita mix and a 12 gage) in check.

Okay, now that I'm stepping off of my soapbox, good for you for putting her in her place and supporting your beleifs with real facts, not just some hand fed stats that the very often liberal media feeds us to make it look like the NRA is trying to turn the world in to a bunch of gun-toting right wing-nut jobs.

alot of kids at my school have never shot a gun, forget own one. where im a member of the Smith And Wesson shooting sports center and my family owns many guns. i await the day some one says something. but i dread it too. because argueing with a liberal is like argueing with a brick wall.... wait. thats an insult, to the wall.
