I always play on the 64man GAMECENTER servers. They always have 2-5 full 64man servers for you to get in and play on.

my current I HATE THIS pet peeve: People who walk over mines and then punish you.

I have a 25+ score (I average 20-30 a game, I'm not very good, but I dont suck either). I have started liking ENGINEER when Im' not sniping cause I can help the heli's, etc, and defend the flag.

So I'm putting mines around a flag area so that enemy tanks/buggies wont come in. I always leave a VERY easy to maneuver path for anything on my team to get by (tanks, etc) if they just look at the stupid red Skulls and realize and dont try to go over them.

EVERY GAME I do this... the past few days I have gotten booted from servers 3x because people stupidly ignore this and I end up getting a TK for them, and anybody they're carrying. I cant stand it anymore... especially since the people in the tank (non-driver) dont see the crossbones so they punish me thinking I sabotaged them.

Its not like its hard... red skull = bomb. Dont drive over it. Drive to EITHER SIDE where I've left 20+ft for you to get around. I also stagger them so that I can cover whole sections of road but if you know where they are by the skulls you can easily just go crooked and miss them all.

Its my pet peeve... carry on.

I agree, I often do the same thing with the mines. Stagger the placement so that my team can easily manuever around but the enemy isn't likely to see them untill it's to late.

I was on a server last night where I was doing this at the beginning of the game, had one of my own teams tanks run over it, punish me, I run out to re-lay the mine, and the guy shoots at me while he come by in another tank. Then before he runs over the mine, he jumps out of the tank, runs over to where he saw me duck for cover, and kills me. The he freaks when I punish him for the TK, because he was a retard TWICE!

As for server sizes, I prefer the larger ones, but I don't limit myself to them. I just look for onr with a low ping.

Exactly. I try to leave an OBVIOUS path through it and I'll even stand semi-near it if its not a combat zone and tell people too. Or if there's a bunch of tanks I'll even remove the mines w/ the wrench but there's always SOMEONE who wont wait 10 seconds for me to pull 2 mines for them and they kill me, and themselves...lol.

I only punish 2 types of people:

1) Idiots who screw around and damage things, or TK cause of it. I had some idiot last night firing the chaingun in the heli all over our base while he waited for it to take off and hit me while I was running for the heli. I was running STRAIGHT at the side for 10 seconds (I was on the other side of the spawn point) and he easily saw me but he started firing around me to be funny and hit me. So he got punished. The only other time I'll punish is if someone punishes me then ends up TKing me later...lol. What goes around comes around :).

If I step on your mine, etc, then thats my fault. I'll never punish. Sometimes I just have to try to sneak around because I really need to get somewhere and it doesn't work. I wont punish you. Hell... I've been hit with an artillery when I was doign a flag cap but the commander said sorry cause he fired it before I made it go neutral and thats fine.

I mean if its your fault... dont punish. If its blatent stupidity, or recklessness thats one thing.

My last kick offense was when I was commanding officer. I jumped in/applied when I noticed 1/2 way through a map the CO was gone. Send out a few orders and drop an airstrike. Friendly transport helicopter flys in to strike zone after I warn them 3 times. They get hit, 6 TKs and I think most of them punished me, as I only saw 3 punishes before I got the popup screen of doom.

Playing engineer long enough, you learn when/where to put mines so the tardcarts (light vehicles at full speed everywhere) dont hit them. Some times the team is just too dumb and I usually find another kit and give up defending that flag.

I normally go ENGINEER when I'm in a good squad that does lots of heli based stuff... that way I can repair/etc and not worry about TK.

If I'm playing mainly standalone (aka stupid people server) I play w/ the sniper gear cause I've gotten pretty good at putting a bullet up their rectum from 1/2 way across the map...lol.

Or if I'm playing the Dam then I definitaly play SNIPER. Lots of places to hide and I put claymores around where I am so I'll know if they're coming.

not to deffend anyone but, the red skulls are part of the "3D map" that you can turn off. maybe they dont even see the red skulls.

True True... but if they do that then again they take their own responsability for paying attention to the terrain because they're disabling their friendly explosive warnings.

Again... thats their own problem. If they hinder their ability to see where their team is putting mines/etc then they take responsability for what happens to them.

I really hope it's more complicated than me not being able to download them to my demo folder... but when I try to download them it says the file doesn't exist on the server...
