Of the 75 homicides in Toronto this year, 50 have been committed with handguns. Police estimate half have been committed with handguns illegally smuggled into Canada, and a good portion of the others were committed with stolen weapons.

A ban is going to help how? Cut down on the not so large portion of half of 2/3rds of the murders? Funny how I thought liberal ment supporting liberty, aka freedom. Not quite sure how taking away a freedom for basically no benefit is a good thing.

Criminals do not obtain firearms like law-abiding citizens. Your friendly neighborhood felon cannot legally purchase one.

What does this ban do? Oh yeah, makes it easier for my family to get killed, raped, robbed.

So, well over 50% of the crimes committed with a handgun was through the use of an illegally posessed handgun.

This further shows how much politicians are out of touch with the reality of their country/world. How many bans will it take for people to realize gun control doesn't lower gun-related crimes enough for it to be worth the effort/money/controversy? It's been said before, but I'll say it again. Criminals usually do not get their guns legally, so they wouldn't be the ones affected by this bill.

The meaning of "liberal" has been bastardized. People who do not use their brains... but rather worry about what makes them feel good... are often characterized as "liberals." Personally, I do not characterize these people as either liberal or conservative... but a third option: Stupid. And these stupid people are large in number and have loud voices. It's kind of irritating.

Let's say the government banned all firearms. Who would fight against this? True liberals! A liberal would say: As a human being and citizen... I have this right! And this is why!

3 times this week ive had someone helping with the liberal party come to my house and try to get me to agree with getting rid of guns pay more for something i dont even know about so something else can happen

As a Canadain id like to point out that not all of us are as dumb as our brain dead leaders LOL.


The scary thing is how many are though. I fighting at work trying to explain this to my cowrkers and how it will do almost NOTHING to the crime rate and they all for the most part ignored me.

I grew up in a bad area in toronto and have worked in toronto for a few years. A coworker had both her kids shot and killed. So yes i know all about the gun vilonce in our citys. BUT i also know banning guns is going to do ABSOULTLY nothing to lessen these crimes.


But im also KNOW that goverment and policy is getting alot of flack right now for gun vilance So by pushing this BAN handguns B.S. they are trying to show that something is being done against these crimes.

The prob aint got nothing to do with the guns in my opinion the prob is the lack of punishment. ESPECIALLY for youths. Lat week a young man was arrested for theft. then when in jail assulted an officer. and not a week after was relesed on bail. With in a few days that man shot and killed a man. And guess what hell probly be lightly senntenced aand get out still in his twentys.
