    The Devil Mag

So I just learned about an automag called the devil mag. I've deduced that it's sort of a better version of the spydermag setup, it uses a predator board, and it usually has a ULE mainbody, break beam eyes, and an x valve w/ ULE trigger kit. They also are supposed to have "Ripper Trigger mod" and a 90 degree frame. But I'm not so sure what is meant by either of those...

And concerning the Spydermag, how do you get the board signals into mechanical movement of the sear in a mag. I always assumed that the solenoid would move an actuator that back and forth or something like that, but after re-thinking it I question such a setup.

Has anyone worked on a Devil Mag or bought one, and can answer my questions...

devil mags never really took off and went away (as in the creator lost interest, so no devil mags for anyone)

spyder mags involve modifying an electronic spyder frame to actuate the sear, this generally involves flipping the pancake noid sideways so it hits the sear arm.

ok so does the solenoid runs on battery power alone? No air pressure involved (in the solenoid)?

How much battery life do you get when the sol is moving the sear? I always thought that the solenoid was like a switch where LP air was channeled through.

Could somebody just make it plain and clear what the types of solenoids are and how they function because I think I've incorrectly assumed how they function.

Actually the creator of the DevilFrame went bankrupt and could only do a few. Some of them had a few problems here and there but nothing that couldn't be remedied by a good tech or fixed up with a DIY. They shoot wonderfully but with the EP DIY abilities they're basically obsolete as you can make one to your own specs and better.

Im not sure if I can link to another forum here anymore,... I dont spend alot of time on the AO as it is,....

,..... but I currently have a new frame thats a design from the AirWalk V1 which works off the concept of the Hyperframe,... where the Devil Mag concept was born from as well.

Specs on the frame Im working on:

Runs off a Scenario Dreams Universal T-Board
Works with Break Beam/Bounce Beam/ IR eye systems
              Runs off a 9volt battery
Has a MINIMUM shot life of 20,000 (on a cold/bad day)
Is being made by two AGD supporting members
Will be available SOON! (proto-type ships this week)
              Will NOT have a pre-order!

If we can link from here,.... I will re-post with the information.

I spent the $5,000 on the solenoids already

I have 20 boards waiting as well.

                    Oh my!

Now see there is a man who knows how to come to market with a product. No "preorder" bull. Just "here they are". Props for having the faith in your product to see it to completion first. You are my new hero.

I am trying VERY VERY hard to avoid the pre-order.

As far as guts for the frames,.... I own everything and owe nothing.

Again, thats awesome. Anyone who develops a product is bound to see delays and production issues. Unfortunately most of the custom shops that do preorders end up passing each of those frustrations down to every end user. Even if the product is great people will still associate it with irritation. Ultimately the end user doesnt need to know about any of the hiccups of production. And when they find out after-the-fact then it gives them a greater appreciation for the person/shop providing the product. I would thik this is all "101" stuff. But then again........

Anyways cant wait to see them when they are done.

I have been on the receiving end of the TAG E-Mag pre-order,... the G-Force Frame pre-order,... and I had some advice from an AO member who has had troubles with his own custom products.

So,... to my dislike,... I bit the bullet and threw down the cash for the parts.

Glad I listened to the advice though,... it just eliminates all the problems you were making note of.

As for the frames,.... Im not sure I can afford to buy them out,... but time will tell. The proto-type was due here this week but Jay hit a bind at work and was unable to deliver it to the post office. Im not rushing though,... good work takes time,... and I can see that now.

It's so inspirational to see someone come up with an idea like this and run with it. I t just makes me all warm inside to know that there are manufacturers out there who started out as paintball players and came up with a brilliant idea, and made a business venture out of it.

What are you planning on naming the final product?

Im sure he will release all that info with the product. Hes been able to keep it under wraps until now. Be patient.
