Keep in mind this is the proto-type. Cosmetic milling has been omited for cost reasons at this point.

If you have anymore questions,.... we should make a new thread or something so I dont clutter up the original thread

Jay/Pneumagger modeled it in Solid Works as the Air Walk.

I took that model and added in the areas that make it work as a Hyperframe/DevilMag

          Im using Solid Works 2008.

yeah, but that doesn't sound nearly as good as devil may cry

Is Solidworks similar to autocad inventor?

I've only used solidworks but from what i hear from people who have used cad before they've come here autocad is very different, and stuff i've seen from cad is different, so im going to say no. From what i've heard i would prefer solidworks, but i'm just paying to use my schools license cause they're greeedy sobs.

From a layman's point of view, I find SolidWorks 2007/2008 much easier to work with than AutoCAD Inventor or even Alibre Design Xpress. 3D sketching absolutely rules.

So is that what it takes to get the right solenoid?

I kept looking through the Ledex specs and I would find one that I thought would work for this setup. It was a 'standard' offering, but when you check to see who they have sold some to, there was no one. It seemed like the only way to get one was to order a whole lot. I even tried alternate configurations to use their other devices, but they weren't really available either.

I was considering getting an airwalk frame anyway. Now I'll have more 'reasons'.

The ones in the Devil Mag frame are the same exact ones used in the E1/E2 E-Blades.

I decided that the best route,.. in the event that the frames do not sell well,.. was to purchase the solenoid with the most uses. This solenoid will work in 4 different setups I have found so far. I dont have any Spyders or NPS/KEE markers,... but Im sure that this one so some extent can work as well.

By the time I paid for the solenoids as a batch of 25-40, then add in the copper surcharge, then the setup fee, etc. I was $500 away from just buying 100 and calling it a day. So thats what I did,... I bought 100.

If you want something done custom,... you have to buy a bulk amount. 100 pieces is the minimum unless they like you as a customer and are willing to make a deal. Clippard was supposed to make a new version of the MPA-3, and they have yet to deliver on a favor I called in.

When do you think you'll start selling the complete frame setups with their solenoids and boards?

I can sell the solenoids and board right now. I have more than enough solenoids,... but my stock is down to 16 UTBs as of right now. Thats plenty for a few buyers,.. but not enough to do 50 frames, obviously

Im actually working out a bracket right now with MadMarx to use on the Intelli-feed mount pannel you find inside most frames. I already have the stock in hand,.. I just have to cut it.

Ive also done my diagrams for a Logic Vertical Frame. This frame will be my test application.

Work has slowed down some and Im finishing up my morgage on my investment property

The most I could do is sell the UTBs bundled with a solenoid. Or sell you just the solenoid if you have a UTB already.

My frame SHOULD be here soon (cross my fingers),... so dont count that out of the box yet. When Jay delivers on it,... making your own will be kinda a bumb deal.

Im trying to get a UTB install guide together for modifying a frame..... but Im lacking the time right now.
