Yeah, I'll put in another vote for keeping the new design. However, the "gills" give it a really unique look from other frames, but of course they prove to be more difficult to mill. The gills put too much detail into one spot. If your entire frame was covered in crazy detailed milling I would go for it, but seeing how nice it looks now I have to go with what you have.
