My question is, where is it, including all of its components being made? Bill Gardener recently claimed that the reasoning behind his patents was that if they didn't do anything, then the Chinese would take it all and undercut the industry.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they have some kind of a facility in China now, I'd be interested to know if these guns are actually being 100% manufactured in the U.S. or not.

Actually I think the ions and such are made in China. I could be wrong though, but I thought I read that somewhere. If he does not want the Chinese to take it, then I say bring 100% of the manufacturing/assembly,packaging here.

It is starting to seem to me that SP is going the way BE did, from decent stuff to cheaper entry/beginner stuff.

I think lower priced, functioning markers are a good thing. Anything that lets a player play cheaper and compete on a level with most other markers is a great thing. In my mind the ION opened up the market. I am not particularly fond of the ION marker but its cheap, and performs well. The Vibe is a further extension of this theory. Making the bolt out of the back removes one of the large issues with the ION.

Will it cause another stampede like the ION, no. It is not quite the jaw dropping event the ION was.

SP is working the industry... just like most companies do in their field. "If we can make it faster and cheaper than other, ppl will buy it." Plain and simple. For most folks anyways. There are those who enjoy quality and prefer to pay for said quality.

I for one own both. a Mag and an Ion. Don't have problems with either. I did however pick up my Ion on the secondary market and have mod'd it up with none SP parts.

Now about the Vibe. For the price, you get great High-end ability for a much cheaper price. Will the gun hold up? Who knows... I haven't personally heard too many "My Ion broke" stories; I'm sure they exist though. Would I ever buy one of these? Never. My Ion was better than a Vibe when it was stock. It will dupe plenty first timers into buying it. Sad...

And as for paying $100 a day to play... holy crap! Where are you playing? I can pick up a case of mid-range to higher paint for about $50-$60 and then pay only $10 fee and maybe $4 air fill. and that case can last me at least 2-3 days of play.

I don't trust anybody promoting a SP gun while wearing a SP sweatshirt and cap. And besides that, SP is teh enemy! If you want quality, buy a mag. It will outlast longer than that piece of crap, even used.

I play every weekend for $30 if you are spending $100 you need to either work on your aim or stop spending so much time at the target range.

Oh and if you want an inexpensive gun there are plenty more options besides SP. Go get a WGP trilogy for even less. You don't need to shoot 15bps to be a good player.

Vibe is capped at 11bps, and the scenario version is capped at 9bps with a single trigger. its clear as day though, both the vibe and SP1 were made with upgrade ability in mind. every part in my opinion was made to very easily be switched out with a new part. both guns do not feel as cheap as one would think. the vibe alone easily weighs more then a stock ion, and the sp1 weighs more then the vibe. although i would NEVER recommend either gun to anyone, the SP1 is a fun little toy. it just feels pretty decent and fun in your hands. and the single trigger electro is really ALOT of fun other then that, please dont buy them :)

/edit - no i never was able to play with a single trigger electro before, and no i never had a trigger snap in half on me

As a side note, the only thing I find remotley cool about this gun is that fact that you could use either HPA or CO2 (as stated in the vid). That alone could draw quite a few new players specially when they find out that the more expensive gun requires you to buy a $100+ tank. When a big CO2 tank costs only ~$30 (And yes, I know you can pick up a 48/3000 for ~$50)

side note on that.... they said the EXACT same thing about the ion. and trust me, CO2 means im repairing and ion or replacing the board.

I have to agree with the statement that equipment counts when it deals with getting a new player more interested into the game. I can't count how many times I've seen someone went out and purchased a cheap spyder clone and had a REALLY bad day due to the gun not working properly at our field. If you have a bad day, you're more than likely going to develop a "this sucks" mentality more easily.

The key word there being "cheap" clone. Along that same thought process, this is a "cheap" electro-pneu.

The wording in the vid was put such that its the equipment that makes the game, not so much the player, or at least thats how it came across to me.

I disagree. Granted, it's all up to how one interpretes it. I

I love how people will immediately bash a product before they've even SEEN one in person let alone shoot one. Do companies hype a product? Sure. They all do. That's just the nature of business. I'm going to hold judgement until I can see one in person.

I haven't gone so far as to bash the product. I mean what can one truly expect from a $150 marker?
