I coudnt agree more. If you want to push a bunch of BS, be prepared to take some back.

And Ive always loved the 'you gotta try it to say its bad' logic. What a crock o' bullocks. Sounds like a sales pitch from a crack dealer..."Hey kiddies, crack is good. Dont say its bad until youve tried it!".

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck....it doesnt take a double-digit IQ to figure this one out.

I love how people will immediately bash a product before they've even SEEN one in person let alone shoot one. Do companies hype a product? Sure. They all do. That's just the nature of business. I'm going to hold judgement until I can see one in person.

i have Held one, shot one, sold one, taken one apart, and fixed one.

ALL THEY ARE! is an ion, with bolt out the back body, and a totally new board and solenoid set up. the new Ballistic plastic or what ever they are calling it, actually makes the gun noticably heavier. since you have a new board, (in a new position, pancaked on top of grip frame between body) so it needs a totally different trigger. ect ect

so, take your thoughts on the ion. make it heavier, but bolt out back. and you have your opinion. except, its cheaper, and purposely made IMHO to have different stuff like the board and trigger ect ect just to make poeple buy more after market parts to make them better

I can agree with the whole 'Dont judge until you try it" mentality. However, we can make a fairly accurate educated hypothesis based on A) the price range, B) history of paintball makers in this category and C) the company and its products.

My final conclusion is always made after I see one for real.

isn't that marker capped at 11bps because it's blind? i wonder how much they paid matty to down talk sear-trippers, since that's all a non mq'd e-cocker is... all smart parts wants is money from the unsuspecting player that's new to the sport.

hey, it may be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I will never know.
here is a little known secret THE PLAYERS CONTROL THE INDUSTRY! if you don't like the way a company does bussiness, then don't support them. if money stops flowing in they will get the message and go away.

I liked paintball way more when it was my dirty little secret, I don't care about growing the sport anymore, it already got too big for its britches, and who is it helping? unless you own smartparts, kee,or dye the answer is, NOT YOU
in the late 90s early 2000s I had such hope. I wanted to see paintball blow up. now I wish I could go back.

all crap like this marker and the company who built it has done is help to weaken the industry for everyone other then the three companys listed above.

all thats missing out of that video is billy and adam sitting around telling you that their all amreican barrel will accuratly shoot 100 yards.
(yes they actualy said it search billy and adam gardner on youtube for this pile of dung)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they have some kind of a facility in China now, I'd be interested to know if these guns are actually being 100% manufactured in the U.S. or not.

Bill Gardner said in an interview that they had to start a company in China to cut costs on the Ion. That company is now bigger than the American division of Smart Parts, I believe. And no, China does not play by any sort of patent rules. They've been making fake iPhones for months.

In one interview, he's a smooth bastard. In multiple interviews, he trips over himself like it's his job. It's a shame the general paintball-playing public is too stupid to put 2 and 2 together.

EDIT: I reread that just now and it sounds like it could be misinterpreted. I'm not directing that at anyone (except the Gardner brothers).

the good thing is paintball is getting cheaper and cheaper(mostly markers) I am saving tons of money with these prices I really am not a fan of sp. But to make things "fair and balanced" I am happy that paintball industry is still doing ok(not at best). I am looking forward to the 08 markers

Paintball is not all doom and gloom ( in my eyes)

No, I'm just hating 'cus its super cheapo-crap. Never seen one outside of pics but don't need to. I got my Ion for buck-fifty, with a better trigger and it was WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the Vibe.

Paid even less for my Mag. My Ion sits in my gearbag.

Hmm.. that about sums it up... Ion has eyes and capped at 6 bps faster.. and it didn't have a plastic trigger with slop.

Oh, and it's only 1st gen sweat-shop not 2nd gen sweat-shop work... which means they hadn't found as many corners to cut yet.
