Timmy = most popular / dominant gun at PSP Philly Open 2003 ???

Call the timmy/matrix/angel speeds/new shockers/ect cheater guns or whatever you want, however if they are being allowed to operate the way they are by the refs on all levels of play in most tournament circuits......are they cheating?

X-ball is fast and I mean very fast. It is fast in all aspects of the game from gun shooting speeds, movements, hopper speeds, breaks between points, ect ect. Go to an event and stand behind the laners at the start of a match and watch how much paint is in the air, listen to the roar of the guns. If you want to win, you have to be fast in every aspect of the game including firepower.

AGD needs to come out with the new version software. The valve can handle the speed, the hoppers can handle the speed, now lets get the circuit board to dish it out. There is alot of competition out there to match. Call them cheater boards or not, if the refs are allowing poeple to use them, it is not cheating. It's an arms race and it is time to get moving.

Oh, I had the opportunity to check out Manike's new empire timmy this past weekend while we were playing X-ball. That gun rocks!

didn't i read soemwhere that at the nppl jersey they had a problem with people cheating with timmies; adjusting thier bounce during games? i personally think that many guns now-a-days are cheater guns. They went back to turbo it seems.
I went to a local tounrey this year not really playing much last year and notice what was considered illegal seemed legal this year depending on the marker. If you had a tippmann rt it was illegal this year and last. If you had a impulse that shot usually one shot per pull it was OK to use; especially if you bought it from the store that was promoting tourney. I consistantly watched people double shoot over the chrono when trying to shoot one ball all day. It usually was impulses but also a matrix, and timmies. When i went to the world cup 2001, refs were on a few people about "tight" angel triggers which might had the ability to bounce. They gave them a warning told them to loosen their trigger a bit after the game else you might not be legal on another field or that field for that matter.
Also is it normal to throw out the return spring in a timmy to make it shoot (bounce/turbo) faster?
I really think that I could have went out with a turbo shocker and nobody would have notice that I had turbo.

I think of it this way: There's a 45 mile/hour sign posted on an open road. Everyone is doing 75. Everyone knows you're not supposed to, but have mutually agreed through their actions that it is ok. Now, you can be the guy doing 45, or you can run with the pack.

Timmy's and matrix's right now own the paintball market. They are looked at as the guns that deliver the best performance for high profile teams like shock, effect, Nyx, and LA Ironmen.

As for the 4 shots for one pull thing, thats just what happens when you put the debounce at 1 on those Equalizer boards(which is also illegal).

In the NPPL Super7, I played on a team of all Intimadators. The refs would not let us on the field if they could make the trigger bounce once. They would try everything from shaking the trigger side to side, and pulling extremely slow. None of us had our debounce at one. In some cases the team found themselves having to change the set screws in the triggers just to get on the field. It was definatly a pain

Angel Speeds also bounce like crazy, at IAO i went to do a guy, i pulled the trigger twice but six balls came out so i felt bad. IVe tried to eliminate the bounce out of it but i lose my trigger settigns completely. My timmy i put my debounce up and it lost its bounce (since the incident involving 29 paintballs and one pull)

And there is a reason Tippman RT's are often illegal. Weve emptied an entire hopper with one trigger pull with an A-5 RT

Since Bob is making some significant change to the new 04 Timmy, it seems as though he's realized that there is always room for improvement... other than cosmetic.

Other than the complete revamps of the SP Shocker, and the IR3, this looks like it will be a big improvement in ergonomics as oppossed to performance.

I would have to contribute 75% of the mass timmy market to National Paintball... ANYONE can get a timmy, even the smallest paintball shop in nowhere,indiana(i would know ;p) anyway... i think their is like 1, maybe 2? places to get a ULE mag in the WHOLE WORLD... and people wonder why not everyone is shooting this "godlike" marker?

1) speed, fast as hell
2) eyes, never chop
3) lightness, people say it feels like a toy, but they're just use to heavy guns
... the list could go on, just ask for more.

bad:
1) not 100% outa box, but 50$ gets you ram cap and volumizer and your rockin'
2) easy to cheat, aka debounce, kinda knocks the name and can get annoying with people checking your gun.
3) I bought a GZ before the Z came out with the clamshell =\

Timmys remind me too much of Model 98s... just that long clunky body.

As for Mags ever becoming back again, dont expect it soon.
The problem with the whole mag scene ULE, LV 10, Chord bodies, x-mag etc etc etc is one factor.

Its a mag maybe not IMO but to the rest of the paintball world. It has the name, mag on it.

Just like someone going out building a ULE Dream mag or whatever, its going to end up being at least 900-1200 to build one of those awesome ULE mags. Someone would go through all that and be like yah im going to build a super mag. Than it comes out to about 1200 and they will change there mind because they will realize there are many other guns out there that you could get for 1200.

Paintball is all about its past as well as its present.
WGP's new cocker line up made up for its previous name, and it seems AGD is trying to do the same. WDP still has the electro locked as far as electros go... remember before all these new electros came out. What gun did you get in '97 when you wanted an electro. An angel...

WDP and WGP have it locked right now money wise.

Although I didnt look at every picture, from what i see in just the first galleries there were more angels.

Actually, in the first galleries there were more mags than angels.

Only after you browse the rest of the links, is it obvious that the Timmy is in most of the pictures.
