IMO anything more then that and most people will just go with an electro for the "fire power". Too many dont believe in mags now. I think if this could take off in scenerio it could be the turning point to bring mags back all around paintball.
This is why I think that if Tom seriously wants to take the Scenario world by storm then it should have as much great stuff in it as possible. This includes the X-Valve, Y-Grip or Intelliframe, ULT, and lvl10. Equipped with all of these folks (scenario and occasional scenario players)would feel more comfortable about going out against the electros. While the ULT isn't as fast as an electro it is pretty darn close. Plus it gives the occasional scenario player a marker that they can use easily on the rec ball field.

Without reading every single post, I am curious just what AGD has tied up in one of these, though you probably won't tell, I totally understand.

My Limit would be $400-$500. Price it around there and I'll buy one just as soon as I get my tax returns in Feb! And don't go taking the barrel and stuff off of it.

Tom, I've been wondering.. What are you intending to accomplish by flooding the market with a gun that A) has a very low profit margin and B) lowers the value of the rest of your line? I understand that you want to put the company back in the spotlight, as it were, but if you do, what does that accomplish if you are making next to nothing?

Offering all of your best and (I imagine) most profitable gear in a single dirt-cheap package may be an excellent getting your product out there, but I sure hope that this operation has a "Phase Two".

After (if) you take the world by storm with this gun, how do you plan to capitalize on your newfound popularity?

Just to clarify, I am absolutely NOT saying that this is a bad idea; in fact I think it is a stroke of genius (we're coming to expect those, actually ). I don't know as much about marketing or running a business as you and some of the other board members, I's jus a kid. ;p I'm just wondering what you plan to do next.

ok...I know this is gonna sound odd coming from me but.....
            This THING ROCKS !

I absolutely love it. Dont ask me why because I could not give out a single simple answer. I think it mostly has to do with that "guy" thing that lives deep in all of us. The need to play army with the other kids is coming to the surface and making me bring out the $plastic$

Since I would LOVE to see some of these on my shop wall for sale I will stay out of the pricing game.

Great job Tom and I cant wait to add one to my gear bag.

            Edit:
I also say keep it as high-end as possible. X-valve, ULT the works. I see guys with 3K worth of gear on a 100$ gun.....why not give them something as "high-speed" as the rest of the gear they carry to the games.

if you had a chance to run through my post you would see that "packages" are key to this tac-one stuff.

Look at the classic Timmys The could not move them at the intro price. They then turned around chopped the price down to ~$700 and they flew off the shelf. Then, the next year, prices for Timmys started a rapid ascent back to the ~$1000 range. I would have never bought a Timmy if they hadn't dropped the price - but since I did, if I had an extra grand, I'd buy a GZ.

My point is that sometimes it takes money to make money. I'm a little concerned about the gun introing for above $400. I think it needs to be down in the range of it's competition - the A5. For the scenario player that marker is already the holy grail. Something extra needs to be added to compel the A5 crowd to get on board. The more the gun costs the harder bringing them on board will be. My first (semi) gun was a Tippmann, because I wanted a mag - but the extra $150 was more than I could afford at the time.

I agree, I think the Y-grip and ULT verses the nonULT and Intellframe or whatever combination and the choice of a CO2 valve and an X-valve should be options when you buy it. I plan to buy one of these, and then put a Y-grip and ULT on it, and I bet alot of people feel the same. So I would make them options when you buy it.

I completely understand where you are coming from with the packages. However the customer base that I have will want the gun as high-speed as possible.

If I offer this gun in our shop then every one that I sell will be the top version. So if AGD only offers this gun in one form...I want it rockin'

If the gun can be purchased ala carte then no worries. We will just buy the top of the line version.

                            Both.....
I honestly do not see this gun selling to the tourney group at all. I think it will sell to the group in which it was intended.

However, the scenario customers are about 35% of our business now in our Angel sales.

My average scenario customer spends more than my average tournament player on equipment. It is not uncommon for him/her to have 3000$ in a gun with all the extras. We sell to a specific group and that group comes to us for that reason.

This gun is going to be a hit. From the advanced marketing we have already done I know we will have something to do with it in the way of sales, support or accessories.

Im still leaning on this hurting AGD in the long run:

                                Tac-One specs:
                                X valve
custom milled slug body vert. feed
                                Intelliframe with rubber grips
                                J&J cocker barrel
                                ULT trigger
                                LvL 10
                                Flat black only

ok, so Tom took off the ULT Trigger.

                                RT Specs:
                                X Valve
                                SS Body
                                I-Frame
                                AGD Barrel
                                Lvl 10
                                Stainless and Black Color

ITS "WORSE" than the Tac-One. The Tac-One is BETTER!!

Unless AGD wants to sell the RT Pro at under $300 (which I wouldn't compain if they did) and then teh Tac One at $450, they're going to KILL their dealers selling the Tac One. Who is going to buy a AGD RT Pro for $600 in a store when they can buy an AGD Tac One for $450 which has MORE ON IT: NOBODY! No dealers will move mechanical mags anymore.

I'm skeptical that this will help AGD. Sure, Tac One sales will be through the roof, but RT Pro sales will halt completely

                                just my $.02
