Mech only Tournies... Revisited

This topic was beat around a few months ago when SP started making the rounds, however it seems they have fired up the small buisness lawnmower again.

I like it, it makes cheater guns much easier to catch but not as low ROF as stock class is. It would definitely encourage an increase in skill and tactics. I think a league would have a VERY good shot if they made a point to enforce the rules tightly and be known as a league that promotes fair play, good sportsmanship, strict rulekeeping, and the spirit of the game. Let Miami Effect, the Philly Americans, NY Xtreme, and all the other hot-tempered jerks play in their own league, breaking rules and using 340fps machineguns. If the tourneys set the rules in stone and promoted a positive spirit, the cheaters wouldn't waste their time trying to play in it.

Exactly. Someone will always push the limits. Just because its not you guys(mag owners)that do it right now you look down on people who do.

I think mech-only tournies would be great. Possiblly a bit cheaper and no e-cheaters.... cool.

Mos def. Great idea. But I think youd have to have some rules against runaway RT ala tippman RT and AGD RT runaway.

I would still love to see a big surge of stock class come back.
