      What do you find disturbing?

The number of spoiled rotten little.........children.

Or the fact that Dye has the future of America wrapped around thier little finger?

skoad, i was shocked as well, i think the amount of little kids on the board over there, are already starting to ruin it. I had hoped that the split would have made the board better, but apparently, i was sorely worong

Split??? Havent been to PBNation in a long time....

Anyways, it would be nice to know the real percentage spread of the age of highend gun owners. I mean a forum internet poll is OK. But more kids are on these forums that adults...usually anyways.

Either way, the fact that little kids who arent able to drive yet can get highend guns bothers me. I'm 16 and have to work my butt off to afford my Classic RT. I don't have the rich parents like those kids do...I buy my paintball stuff.

I have a dm4, am 15 and paid for it all. Basically, started out with a tippmann and over the last 3 years of my playing, just kept upgrading guns. I started my own little side buisness on pbn(selling sandanas), and umpire baseball games. I'm most likely going to start reffing in the next few weeks also. Sure there are a lot of spoiled kids, but it doesn't mean just because you are young you can't afford nice stuff. Plus, I basically have no other things to pay for like car, insurance etc....yet...

it makes me glad that ive worked for my timmy, cocker, all my gear, and every paintball ive ever shot.

edit: but apparently i shouldnt hate on kids whose parents buy them everything. I guess i am jelous because my parents have me pay for my stuff, and for gas and insurance, even though they are affluent enough to do so. Im jelous of kids who will coast through life, untill someday their parents arnt paying anymore. Im jelous of the nasty shock they will recieve when suddenly they no longer have mommy's escalade, but instead have to bust their asses to buy a geo metro. Im really jelous.

You know they're spoiled when they suck with ther high-end stuff.

I've seen a few kids with 2k2 Intimidators lately that have no idea what to do with them.

same here, i reffed a tourney yesterday, i worked the beginner part. Other than two teams shooting tippmanns and spyders, the cheapest gun was a stock cocker. I saw one team with a lasoya timmy, and a toxic trix. Kids who absolutly sucked. Absolutly terrible. With more expensive guns than me. It made me rather angry.

                    It is possible

I'm 16 and i shoot an ebladed cocker and i think its quite a nice gun. I Didnt really pay for it all, but i did trade my way to it from a 2k3 Red cocker witha freak. Yes i did pay for the first cocker (All of it).
                    2k3 Cocker w/freak traded for
Warped Emag Valved Mag Sold for 435
Angel 2k2 CnC LCD Bought for 400 traded for
                    Ebladed STO With Ups

It just goes to show you over time you find the right people and get the right trades/buys and it is possible for a 16 year old to get a nice gun... I Still have the eblade which is up for sale or trade (Shameless Plug).

16 is a reasonable age to have a high end marker. By then you've had plenty of time to get a job and work for it.

There's a difference between SPOILING parents and SUPPORTIVE parents.

I know kids that rock Alias's at local tourneys and are hella good players, how did they get those guns? Their parents a.) Support them or b.) Run a Field/Store so they get good deals.

A spoiled kid is the one you see in every bit of expensive gear you can think of, but doesn't know how to tech his gun, isn't a decent player, and spends more time shooting at the chrono then playing.

A kid with supportive parents will have all that nice gear, but will be a good player, who knows what he's doing.

Seriously... what's wrong with a parent supporting their child in the sport they enjoy... who CARES if they shoot a 1500 dollar gun... if anything you're JEALOUS that you DIDN'T get to have that kind of gun at that age.

wow, just wow, i guess i find this suprising becasue i play with a group of kids who are mostly 15-18, and only one of us didnt buy their own marker/paint/gear/everything else (but that was becasue a bunch of his friends all chipped in and bought him his marker for his B-day) becasue as soon as we were of age we got jobs and bought our stuff, if someone that playes with us had their parents buy there gun (we have had some other kids come a few times) they are looked at the weird ones, but, i guess im the minority over on pbn....wow, weird

I decided to throw up a poll after I (for some reason) put my AIM name in my pbnation profile.

Yesterday I got 2 pm's with people who couldn't spell, ended everything with "LOL" or some other acronym, and seemed to know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about their DM4. They were asking me questions on how to fix it, how to get it to bounce/not bounce, what upgrades, etc, etc.

Immediately I thought "9 year old." I also see relatively dumb or inexperienced posts over there too, so I threw up the poll.

I am 21, have a dm4. Of course paid for it, by myself.

I wouldn't say I have a problem with little kids with expensive guns, I have a problem with brats with expensive guns. Also just about anyone who knows nothing about the guns they own, but that goes for just about everyone. They seem to be careless, wreckless, obnoxious with their equipment.
