I'm bitter. I see these twurps all the time on the field. They're usually the first to pull their barrel plug and show off well before the game has begun, when the rules were clearly stated to not remove the barrel plug unless it's seconds before game on is called. They're also the ones who, while having a high end gun, cower in the back of the field without firing a single shot. I always glare at these kids with anamocity; although, it's really not the kid I'm P.O.'d at, but their parents for buying such paintguns for them. They're nothing more than spoiled brats who want the latest and greatest toys. Very, very few of them even know what an Automag is. In fact, I have a friend who told a story of playing on a field with his 'Mag one day and nearly every kid between the ages of 10 and 15 asked him what type of paintgun he was shooting. One kid even had the gull to tell him that he needs to upgrade to a "better marker" since his "marker is outdated".

I think most of these kids only have these guns because they want to avoid being teased by their peers for not having the latest and greatest. This is nothing different from wearing the current styles to and from school.

These kids need to be given a Spyder Standard or an Automag Classic and buy all of the upgrades and accessories themselves with their allowances. After two years of playing they can upgrade to something higher up.

So if a kid gets a summer job, works his butt off all summer he still should have to use a spyder for 2 years? Ok...the only reason I can afford all my nice stuff is just because I don't have to pay for ANYTHING else...yet. Every penny I make I use it on paintball.

        $$$

There is nothing wrong with having money or being young and having a nice gun. The problem is not the equipment, just parents who do not teach their kids to have any class.

No one said that. We only agree that parents shouldn't blow off cash on their inexperienced kids. Even if you were a noob who worked your *** off for the money, you shouldn't get a high end BECAUSE it will make you look like a fool on the field looking like a pro but truly just airhead'd newbie.

Anyways, to basically sum this whole thread and discussion up im going to say:

            "Life sucks, Shoot fools"
See post above yours. At first I couldn't figure out if "rents" was a spelling error for something other than 'parents'. Then he says "none the less", rather than 'nonetheless' among other things.

Other than mowing grandma's lawn how is a 10 year old kid gonna earn any money? Besides, give me a damn good reason why a 10 year old should even have a high-end electronic paintgun. Virtually every 10 to 15 year old kid (I'd say 17 and younger, but since we're goin' with the statistics posted...) is irresponsible anyway, and doesn't deserve to own anything above a Tippmann or non-electronic Spyder or 'Mag. One of the other reasons for this is, many try out the sport just once after buying their own equipment and don't have the ambition to play again.

On the other hand, the sport of paintball has become America's babysitter. For thousands of moms across the United States of America drop off their spoiled, misbehaved brats for an entire day, leaving their behavior to the referees and field owners.

If it was up to me... no one under 18 would be playing paintball.

                ...

If it were up to me there would be an 18 yr old age limit at the fileds, but I think that would leave about three of us on a good day.

I just don't get it, like do their parents just buy it for them for no reason or is it for like Xmas or their birthday? Cause I got 50$ for my birthday and a y-grip and warp for xmas, and I thought I was lucky.

Thats like four and a half months of pay for me, without ANY other expenses.

                  Must be nice.

Well, I beg to differ. I think that would encourage more older players to play, knowing there won't be any young players there to get in the way.

I'm anxiously awaiting the day when I get lit up by some 10/13 year old kid who doesn't know how to operate his electro. I'll make damn sure he won't ever forget me. That'll probably scare him away from paintball for good.

I think the reason we are all complaining is because we're jealous that our parents don't or didn't buy us all that stuff when we were that age. The only thing my parents have boughten me for paintball are a pair of pants, a jersey, and a case of paint. Theres a kid at my school who is 17 and drives a BMW Z-3 that, yes, his parents gave him. I was walking home and he drove past me. I hate that kid. Not because his parents give him everything, but because hes an a**hole and doesn't appreciate any of it. He will probably wreck the car and his parents will probably give him a new one. But I can't wait until his parents stop giving him stuff and he has to start working for it. Just my 2 cents. Sorry about the rant.

Not jealous, but urked, annoyed, frustrated, pissed off at how these parents aren't being parents at all. They're not teaching their chilren the value of money. Instead, they're teaching their children that the world will give them whatever they want as long as they ask for it. If they don't get what they want, then they'll throw a temper tantrum. If they're in their adult years, then they'll sue anyone and everyone over frivilous things just so they get what they feel is entitled to them. All in all, they'll be arrogant snobs from the time they're born up to the time they die or until someone shows them in a not so kind way that life isn't about getting everything you want and stepping all over the people who you think aren't worth anything. In fact, parents need to teach their kids that money isn't what life is about; it's about working hard for the things you desire, helping others and opening your mind to new experiences.

Parents nowadays are too relaxed and give in too easily. In other words, parents nowadays are p*ssies.

Camouflage? Hardly. I've seen more tykes in jersies hoping to be the next tourament paintball star than I have seen tykes in camouflage.
