Haha, people stare at my little brother (12) when he borrows my former timmy for a couple games. Plus I just sold him a eBladed Dye Reflex with ups for $500, and yes he's worked for that money through buy and sell, and lunch money savings I wonder how ppl will react to a 12 year old with that gun . . .

I don't have a problem with parents that buy their kids expensive stuff (wish mine did , they're kind of . . financially fit ). It's just those that get it for like their first time playing, those cocky kids and think they're the shizznit, and know absolutely nothing about their guns. But yet . . . I do make quick cash off fixing them

Alot of kids that are 15 and 16 have jobs, I know I had a job when I was 16. Since these kids don't have to pay for food, house, school, etc etc they have a lot of spending money. I have saved up close to 3000 dollars working (I'm 17 now). I know I made about 1500 dollars in just a few months working full time with a little bit of part time @ 7.50 an hour. Would I spend 1300 dollars on a paintball gun eventhough I have the cash? Hell no. Do some other kids? Yes. The most expensive gun I own is my iR3 and that was paid for by my sponsors, I don't think I could ever spend over 1000 dollars on a paintball gun, but then again I think I'm more responsible than most kids my age and I'm saving all the cash I'm making right now for college so I'll have plenty of beer and pizza money.

Then again for every one kid who blew all his money from his summer job on a paintball gun there are probably ten kids with rich parents

i dont mind the kids who have the high end markers and are quiet. Its the loudmouth trash talking ones that treat their equipment like crap that pisses me off. AKA, the PBN crowd. The ones who dont appreciate it and trade it off to get a better one ONLY to be cooler. Thats what aggrevates me.

I didn't get my mid end till.... last summer, when I was 16. I know alot of kids under 15 or first timers blowing off wads of cash on big time gear, such as 5k psi tanks, and those almighty Angels, and of course every Angel must have a Halo, and any cool kids with cool guns must have jerseys, why settle for less when you have a cool jersey already, get one of those expensive masks too! Those kids do make me sad and pretty darn jealous that I don't have rich parents, but they are the ones that look like fools on the field.

I will respect any young'n who worked for their gear though. I know o_O's bro, shadowfalcon, and littlepaintballboy have good attitudes and work for their money.

These threads come up once a week, Maybe a mod should make a sticky thread about hating on little kids with nice guns. Help keep the board clutter down.

Basicly all there is to say about this is if your parents could buy you a DM4, Alias, Xmag, whatever your preference most people would probably take it and most people who say they wouldn't are lying.

              +

It's no one's business what parents buy their kids + those little kids probably make up the majority of the people who buy high end guns. So they keep the companies in business.

I dont think little kids that just start to play should have high end guns. Down here at my fields, when they were open, little 10 year old kids would be on the field with E blade cockers, then would be like im gonna switch to my matrix, then they would be 1/2 way through the day and then they would switch to their angel. I got my first electro when I was 15, my emag. I payed for it. Then I sold it to get my 2k2, I needed 200 more dollars, so I had to sell my classic mag. Now I have one gun and one mask and one tank and one loader. I dont have several things, I have just one of everything, I cant afford to get new gear. I also noticed, some of the little kids that would come to the field every weekend and we got to know them alittle, every weekend, they would have new gear, new packs, new jerseys, new pants. I work hard, to buy paint and anything I need to go play, these little kids get it all for free. I dont like it.

The most obvious reason why starters and young'ns shouldn't get high ends is b/c they can't handle it. They adj the velocity throug the "rear velocity adjuster" and they only need a gravity loader and co2. There is always consequences.

                        kids...

This winter I actually met some kids who I was really impressed with. Very well spoken, friendly, and interested in improving their game. On the other hand I get a pretty good laugh out of most of the younger guys. Headband, wrist bands, jersey, pants, pads, paintball shoes, sockhat, gloves, all AGG'd out and they suck. I have been at so many fields at open games when there is a guy who looks like the posterchild for Dye is who scared to make it to a secondary bunker, get his gun dirty, or has a $1,000 gun and $8 for paint.

i bought my first and only electro (alias) with graduation money. i got it used, that is the first paintball related thing i have ever bought without using my hard earned money. i've been using a stock my for 4 years, then i saved enough for ule body, and intelli trigger, lvl10 and a crossfire tank.

to go with the alias, i bought with my own money a halo and evil scion.

i drive a chevy 1500, it is a v8 5.7 liter, and let me tell you, that thing eats gas. i usually have to spend 50 a week to drive it, but i am lucky enough to have parents that pay my insurance.

                            I'm 14.. and wow.
This isn't the first time I've noticed it though, I'll be at the field with my stock mag (Which I sold my piranha for, as well as worked a whole summer for one. And I thought it was the cats *** when it arrived, still do..) and I see atleast 10 kids, my age or younger, with shiney (yes, shiney.) new angels and cockers. I usually don't mind a whole lot, since it's funny to see them 'break' the guns. But often enough they all try to gang up on me and my chunk of steel. I used to get real bummed out but now I just tell them to settle it 1 on 1 with me, at which point they usually (Cocker owners) disconnect the front plumbing and say 'Oop, its broken, sorry no match' (Yes, I've witnessed it before.) or the just say the battery is out (Even if I offer to give them my revy-batterys and go grav-fed). Its kind of sad, like being taunted then not allowed to retaliate in a civilised manor... I guess its all a roundabout way of saying I'm happy to not have an amazing gun.....wow I need sleep.

Ok, I'm 14 and I own a mag. If my parents asked me if I wanted some high end gun I would say sure, then sell it for $$$ so I could continue to play with my mag.

But there isn't a snowballs chance in hell of that happening. My parents made me pay for everything, but when I do go out to play if my money situation is tight they will give me like $10 to help. Thats what I figure 1 of the reasons parents are there for, to help you out.

My 2 cents, ready for flame.
