    17

I'm a stockman at walmart, so I figured like 220$ average paycheck. And if the gun is 1500 US thats like 2000 cdn.

Well, that goes for all paintball players. I hate tournament players with a passion. Why? Because they're cry babies, p*ssies and cheaters. They think recball should be abolished and everyone play with blowup dolls, as they do. When in fact, if it wasn't for recball they wouldn't be playing tournament paintball. Recball is the backbone of this sport. In fact, it's much larger than the tournament scene with all of the fields across the Earth's continents supporting scenario games and weekend warrior recreational paintball.

Now, when I say I hate tournament players, I mean I am prejudice against them. KKK kind of prejudice. Got me? Anyone who I see wearing a jersey I lack respect for. That includes those 10 to 15 year old kids with the high-end guns their parents bought them. They're misguided children, thinking that one day they'll get on a hot tournament team with a top of the line marker and all of the sponsorships, and that there's no such word as losing in their vocabulary. However, 'cheating' and 'whining' are two words all jersey lovers truly know best.

Just wanted to say I wear a jersey. But I don't whine when I lose. And I can honestly say that I have NEVER wiped. The only time I get mad at the little kids shooting DM4s and Timmies is when they shoot me 10 or more times after Im out because they don't know how to adjust the bounce on the trigger.

Thats pretty ignorant. I have a passion for paintball. In every game, tourny or not, I play aggressive. Do i get mad? Sometimes yes, if I make a stupid call or move but do I cheat? No, I have never cheated. If I got shot out, I raise my gun/hand and walk off.
I also enjoy rec ball and senario-like games. I don't want them to go away, like you said, rec is the backbone of paintball and it's also fun.
I know there are alot of young kids that cheat, whin, and get what they want but there are also ppl who look the same but act different. Where I play alot of ppl have jerseys and 800+ guns but they are cool. They never cheat or complain.

Very well put! While I am a fan of making as much money as possible, I am not a fan of people who have lots of money spoiling their kids rotten. A person without any moral compass or at least a set of down to earth values is a waste of space. Teach yer kids right! MAKE THEM WORK FOR EVERYTHING! After they have worked their little snobby arses off, maybe, jut MAYBE you should buy them that DM4 or Timmy.

what i hate most about these kids that have no idea about the game and just get strapped up whit markers i have no budget for is they make the whole game unfair...if your playing a 7 man game and one team has one or two of these kids then that team is very handicaped...some people just mess the whole sport up...

Virtually every 10 to 15 year old kid (I'd say 17 and younger, but since we're goin' with the statistics posted...) is irresponsible anyway, and doesn't deserve to own anything above a Tippmann or non-electronic Spyder or 'Mag. One of the other reasons for this is, many try out the sport just once after buying their own equipment and don't have the ambition to play again.

On the other hand, the sport of paintball has become America's babysitter. For thousands of moms across the United States of America drop off their spoiled, misbehaved brats for an entire day, leaving their behavior to the referees and field owners.

If it was up to me... no one under 18 would be playing paintball.

I laugh everytime I see these threads

One of the people I play with is 16 and owns several high end markers. He has ZERO interest in teching any of them, and doesn't - I do.

And let me tell you this, he is also one of the top five players I have ever seen play... LMAO - its funny when people look at him and judge him because he is a "kid" with a high end gun. Given to him by his parents I also know he works hard... but some of you need to be less judgemental and just play

First, to answer your question mow other peoples yards.

                        AND

Thank god its not up to you. That would kill off the game faster then ever because many people start when they are younger then 18. AND that would kill off the industry, or at least cut down on the majority of sales that companys like Kingman, Tippman, Brass Eagle, and others would recieve. And that means I would not be able to play.

So basically, in defense of all the kids out there, I think that there parents were just trying to help them get into the game by giving there kids the best equipment, you know, as a confidence booster. I think that its nice, and instead of dissing these kids and pushing them aside I think we should help them out. Maybe they will get good with time and become the next professional player.

                        Doen't stereotype!

I guess this makes it 4 cents.

I got my twin stepsons a Trauma Matrix and an Impact Angel for Christmas 2 years ago. I told 'em excellant grades and good attitudes will be rewarded. They are 17 now and the great grades and attitudes are still in place.
I came from a dirt poor background and swore my kids would never have to be without if I could help it. Maybe their mother and I do give them more than we should, but it's our money to do it with.

Well, im to the point where "those" kids/people dont even bother me anymore. Not to sound holier than thou but, you've got get past that pet peeve/attitude. You have to evolve as a player, as a person and as a competitor. Everyone should know that once the mask is down and the ref says "go! Go! Go!" all that is really, truely important is how you handle yourself. Over the years of playing i've come across many differnt kinds of people. Kids with high $$ guns and no skills, dudes with low buck setups that hella rip and the gammut of players in between.

This is a fact of life. There will be others that will have more than you, that have done less to deserve it.

My main concern is attitude. If your a prick and have a prick attitude, i could care less what gear you rock.

Tony, in case you havent read earlier posts, we were NOT dissing ALL 15 year olds with high ends...just the ones with high ends that have to skill with them. I could care less if a 10 year old is out there rocking a Timmy if he knows how to use it and fix it or whatever himself.

I have no problem with the youngin's with high end markers....I do have a problem with the ungrateful ingrates that take everything they have for granted. (think i said something to that effect earlier as well)
