Because the art of rhetoric requires it. Otherwise, why post anything?I don't see why I should have to post anything more than that...
Because all of us aren't willing to win at any price. If that weren't true, there would be a higher instance of firearm use on speedball fields. You want to win right?God gave you a soul.

my 2 cents
Well does anyone really need this as an example of how a team sport is to be played?
And does it not say something to new players, about the sportsmanship of the established members of a team they are trying out for.
Everyone make a mistake, and how we deal with it establishes our credibility.
Please do not allow this to be a trend that will stop new players from joining a great sport.
Take action.

I work in a max security / hardened juvenile prison facility (15-21 yr olds) as a correctional couselor. The residents at the facilty are not there for first offence minor crimes. They are repeat offenders of serious crimes. The one trait that is common to all the residents at the facility... lack of impulse control. I have opportunity to see countless acts of impulsive behavior in my daily work and although each incident is unique unto itself, it ultimately rests in an individual's decision to disregard the rights of others to satisfy his or her own needs. Is your team member a criminal, no. Was his act criminal, yes. The action he took could have resulted in a tragic outcome due to the lack of impulse control. People make mistakes. Some kids get to apologize. Some kids spend years behind razor wire regretting a poor, selfish, unfortunate decision. I work with kids on impulse control issues nearly every day......... but I wouldn't do it if they were holding a 300fps paintball marker.Welt Factory TeamComment

Show him the door.
You don't need that attitude or disregard for safety to be associated with your team.Comment

If that was my teamate and he wasn't expelled from the team, I would quit.
I wouldn't play on a team where a guy behaved like that and then the rest of my team tolerated it. You know the shooter has a character problem. The question now is about the character of the rest the team. I am sure this isn't the first time this guy has acted up. It is just the latest incident.Comment

No real reason... You want to win right? Unless he is just a dick, let him play.
Everyone screws up.

I completely agree.
What really stands out for me here, he shot him in the neck. That, right there, should get him kicked. Ovbiously it wasn't an impulse act. He waited untill they were exiting the field and shot the other guy in the back of the neck. Unless I am reading this incorrectly..??? To me it sounds as if he shot him with intent to injure him. There is a small difference between getting mad and shooting back, and being vindictive.
The place he shot him at is what bothers me the most. In the game, you expect to be hit with paintballs. He was hit. I can see how this could have flared his emotions, being it came from a player on his own team. What is so bad, he shot the guy back? It is not that he shot back, it is the underlieing intent. He wanted to shoot him back, to humiliate him as he was. That wasn't enough, he had to do it in a way to injure the player. Have his revenge. <--- is why he needs to be kicked. I would not play on a team with someone so vindictive he would shoot his own teamates point blank to the neck.
If he turned around and immediately shot him back, suspend him for awhile or fine him. He went out of his way to shoot him in the neck it sounds. This should not be tolerated at all. I would say kick him from the team.
Whomever is more experienced has nothing to do with it. What happens if he blows off at a tourny? You are mowing everyone and he does something stupid. What then? If you leave him on the team, it is going to lead to worse things...Comment

Shooting a guy in anger after the game, sorry but I would want nothing to do with that player even if they were the best baller in the world.
Now for the guy shooting his own teamate....... well I've done it too
It was a mistake for me and for him too probally. Help him try not to do it again.
