Ok so a eletrical bill to charge some batteries versus

    Air Compressor
    Air Tanks
    Power to run the compressor

    I don't think it's going to be a problem..

I thought it looked like a M98 with a shroud built around it.

That is light, considering most tanks are 2.5-3 lbs by themselves. About the same weight as a timmy. Just think of how paintball have evolved. Lets compare this to the oringal led angel from 96. Hopefully this will evolve like a cocker, or angel.

Velocity has to be awesome, of no air regulation.

Fact is....it's the first one, who knows what the electric gun will look like 20 generations from now, and what it'll be able to do. Face it the first paintball guns were a pain in butt too.

Neat idea Manike, props to you and your crew.

guys, you're missing something. 6-8 BPS. what happened to the walking the trigger crap?

Most people will pick it up, try to fire somewhat fast, find out they can't, and then say "oh, it sucks"

                      speed kills

Very very cool Nice marker for scenario right now, and in another two or three years with newer & smaller technology powering something like this I think you can say goodbye to air tanks all together in paintball. I would have to guess that the speed of it would increase too eventually. Nice job NPS. And the best part is it's pretty darn cheap too! The pic on the box also looks a bit better than the prototype she's holding.

sheer lack of speed and having to be recharged at every 600 shots i would say this would strictly be a rental marker(hope its not ahrd to clean )

otherwise i would cetegoreize it in the like kid backyard toy..not even suitable for like actualy paintball play...lol like that 60bpm gun with like 5 10rnd tubes on it..

i would say tis fairly cheap end and it does look like a m98 w/abody cover

someone mentioned velocity...i doubt there is any since velocity is regulated by the amount of air flow(i think) and since theres no air no velocity which is the problem i was gonna state
and that is the shooting distants a batery can only power a bolt so fast therefore only shooting it so-far and this would not be as far as air.I doubt a batery can put as much force behind an object (bolt) as air can not a battery that size.then again i may be worng even so u still only get 600 shots

Try looking at it this way: this is a stepping stone, a good starting point for future innovations. The first electro was nothing special at all; laughable by today's standards, really. How about force feed hoppers? Remember the HALO A? It was a blender, but its evolution has dominated the sport. It's obviously not a perfect product, but it's a good idea that has the possibility for some serious refinement.

                              edit: Somewhat beaten by banshee

edit 2: As for velocity, think about airsoft (also already mentioned). Springs can do a lot.

Yeah, this is in no means made to replace paintball guns as we know them today. It is the start of a new generation of paintball guns. Very interesting to see what this turns into in 1-2-3 years time.
