Drop fowards help to balance out the gun by moving the tank foward and under. (obviously)

Rails are used because they keep your gun at a lower level so it's a harder target to hit.

The lower your tank gets, the higher your gun/hopper sticks up when shouldered.

        I have the answer.

Why do most tourney, and Pro Players use rails and NOT drops?

        Because they want to.

What exactly does that have to do with anything?

Loads of non-sponsored players use a rail.
            Back at this...

How can people say drops "balance" a gun. It makes a gun a friggin tower. Are you more likely to be pushed over laying down, or standing up. You can't hit a bunker or make a fast move with a big unwieldy drop. Fast pro players don't like drops for a reason kids, drops were just made so people would spend their money.

is that because they want to, or is it because that's that the "pros" are doing...

it really is a case of the blind leading the blind on any of these kind of matters

I think that alot of you assume that everyone uses a tank that is comfortable with a rail-on/off combo. New flash, big tanks require drops in most cases. Not everyone can use a 45/45 sized tank. My mag would have drained that sucker in no time! So to sum it up for me:

70ci stubby or smaller - rail
                  88ci or larger - drop
                  Red/Black Freeflow Lotus Racegun
                  Red/Black Acid BPS Twister Cocker
                  Bright Black Y-Grip/Warp ULE Mag
Blue 99 Dark Angel w/Matching Accessories

How many companies make ONLY Rails? I'm talking about the ones big enough to support tourny teams.
Planet Eclipse, Custom Products, Etc etc.
Nope, tno them, and they're the major supppliers of rails in the industry (though I am not listing a few others) And guess what...THEY ALSO MAKE DROPS. Their drops and rails are also similarly priced, so as long as they make a sale, whoi's going to say anything? I very HIGHLY doubt that Custom Products or any other company like thatis goign to say' no no no, NO. You can ONLY use Rails!'

What about the Smart Parts sponsored teams? I see ALOT of their players using the smaller drops, that well...smart parts makes. Smart parts also makes Drop's that are small enough to be considered rails. What then?

I tried my 114 on my freestyle, it was like playing with a long rifle, no movement and my arms where stretched out to far to play.

I still don't understand what the stink is about bringing up an old thread. If I see a thread that I want to answer, I just answer. What's the problem with that???????? Why do people get mad if I give an honest answer??
