I have one - there a great marker for $300. However, my Shocker was more reliable (though no FSDO in teh Ion). Shouldn't surprise me that a $900 marker is more reliable than its $300 cousin should it.

Mine started as a leak that I should have let go, you could only hear it listening VERY closely wtih the marker to your ear... and it in no way effected performance. Then I messed wtih it... now i NEED parts cause the marker leaks heavily and constantly.

for right now it will have many different problems, but from what i can see, SP could have done a few things things and made this a great gun for under 500. and some other things like a stock 15 bps cap would be nice.

Ooh, I like that new body. The only thing I didn't like before was the older body. It looked cheesy and had crappy styling imo. That new one's hot though. I'd still maybe change the reg. That fatty is fugly lol.

EDIT: Nm, I saw that on pbnation. It's a custom job. They should definately make some nice bodies like that. The "web" type plastic design is crap.

Those that say deal with it, or who cares seams to have gotten past or forgotten exactly what SP Did, or they never learned all the details. In My mind it is unforgivable, and down right nasty, just as it was to many others. Is they Paintball worls still spinnging? Yes it is, but that does not stop that fact that SP is racking in the money now at other's expenses.

You know why they can make the Ion so cheap? It's because they know they can sell them up to wazzu Mass production, while it can give you a cheap product, give you terrible Quality control. The Ion is essense I wil say was a good Idea, but nothing is perfect and the Ion of course is not all time ground breacking gun. You are GOING to have lemons and your going to have ones that shoot awsome. So fare the Ion Seams to be SP's main gun besides the shocker. And while some will say the shcker is more relibale, it too suffers from quality control issues and reliability issues, just not as on the same scale as the ION...and lets not even get into the Issue of the Nerv.....

                          EviL-

Oh come Hither my Evil friends. Let us dance upon our MINION of pure EviL apon the sup air ball field. Let us give thanks for this EviL OMEN that the Lord AVATAR has given to us. Let us crawl apon this wicked earth, converting the people to our HEATHEN ways, let us PIMP them with our SCION. Let us be faithfull till Judgement day, when EviL shall finally RULE THE WORLD.

So tell us uneducated masses exactly what happened. Be sure to quote and cite closely held corporate information and information only those in the business likely now. Be sure to sight patent law, specific patents, specific intellectual property rights, and the various other factors involved in what happened.

The fact of the matter is, very very fe people know what happened. Very few of us have the knowledge to decide if it was right or wrong and defend that position with a well reasoned, articulate argument. We can decide based on limited knowledge if it was right or wrong, but I doubt anyone can make a great argument to either side.

Look at it this way: Your Ion obviously wanted a QEV and though that this was the only way it could get you to bother.

Ever cruise the tech forums and see how many problems even AGD markers have out of the box? ICD - I have seen freestyles with severe issues, e-blades and bouncing? Your on the edge of performance, your bound to have some issues. Its part of pushign performance. How many Tippmans do you see not function - not very many because they are overengineered towards reliability and less towards performance.
