read the sentence before that one mister. I said that bound for glory is the one saying that his devilmag kicks butt in every ion thread. Geez dont get so defensive. You said I called everyone that owns a devilmag a moron, but I didnt. If you read the whole thread, you will see that I was pointing out the devilmags weaknesses because bound for glory keeps bragging on it.

still havent seen any quotes w/ me calling a devilmag owner a moron. You are twisting my words and misunderstand my reasons for posting what I have. You cant just jump in the middle of a discussion 4 pages late and pick up where you want. That defeats the whole purpose of making a valid statement.

98C w/ RT and its less than $284. And more reliable.

If all your looking for is speed then oh well. I prefer to have a reliable gun. This is why I stay with my Mag, Blazer and Phantom.

Out of curiousity, aside from out of the box issues which I readily acknowledge exist what makes you beleive that the Ion will not be reliable... well as reliable as any electronic marker (I notice you listed mechanical markers)? Or is it you simply don't like the reliability issue of any electronic marker? I know issues exist on electros that simply do not on mechanicals, so I understand that idea. As for reliability I have run about 10 cases through my Ion with no reliability issues. Out of the box issues... well SP just sucks anyways at that, at least in my experience.

ya know lohman, my only problem is ion this ion that. and i should maybe stop bragging about my devilmag it is, after all, just a $900 sear tripper ya know what i'd really like to see? i would like to see every person who is waiting on a devilmag to start a thread about how great they are when they get them. i promise i will never interupt an ion thread to brag about my sear tripper again.

I bought a DevilMag because I feel it is the one last great attempt to make an AGD marker into a super electro. I think it succeeded. However, in a day of 15BPS limits and ramping... well its overkill. IF the DevilMag breaks next year, or in five years where will I get parts - and I'm talking the electronic portions. If the Ion breaks next year, or the year after, or whenever it does, parts are going to be easy to come buy. I bought a DevilMag for non-performance issues - I had shot Shockers last year and I frankly do not expect to see a performance related enhancement over them (though I could be wrong). I bought it for all the "hype" reasons, frankly because I wanted a marker that would stand out. A great marker, but as far as function goes, well I paid $1000 for looks... when I'm done I think my DM was about $1000 more than the Ion. I can't wait to see it... to feel it... to shoot it. Its hard and super frustrating waiting. I think it will be a great gun, easily capable of meeting my performance requirements... of course the Ion met those requirements. I did not buy the DM for performance reasons alone (it met the limited, or extensive to some, criteria I had for a marker). I bought it for other reasons. If you get rid of all the arrogant and egotistical reasons for buying a DevilMag and look only at my performance requirements, there are many many markers that would have served me equally as well at small portions of the price. I admitted to myself that those other requirements justified the price. I don't look to justify the price difference based on performance...

Please do note that my performance requirements are a little more reasonable than some. A marker capable of about 10BPS+ sustained which is what I can realistically pull (probably less in reality). The ability to shoot when I pull the trigger reliably. The ability to group reasonably. I demand eyes and good detents to help prevent chopping. I realize some people say demanding these specifically is not performance orientated, I disagree but understand what they mean. I do also want non-excessive kick. I shot a TES the other day... and was pleasantly surprised, frankly the reason I have not bougth one has to do with non-performance reasons.

Lohman mostly the electro vs the mech thing for me. I have played around with electros and found them to be high maintanence. Also just the fact of the added batteries. Is the gun battery ready. Are the batteries in the hopper ready. With my Blazer I put an air tank on it and I'm ready to go. I have actually used a plain gravity feed hopper on it. (usally i have a reloader on it). Also from my past experience with other SP guns I have that they do not have the best reliability. My main thing is I like mech guns over electros. And I have seen guys rip off faster on a RT A5 than what is shown on that video. Speed don't meen a whole lot too me.

i guess you dont play tournys then if someone is using a RT.

I used to play tourney. I play some local level tourney now. Its not my preferred form of the game. Some of the local feilds allow the RT in tourney since they don't discriminate against them.

the 98C w/ RT is not more reliable or better. I know cause Ive installed and owned them before. First. There is no Anti-chop system. Second they always come uncocked or halfcocked cause it pinches a ball. Third, they arent legal. Forth, they are heavier. Fifth, they are uglier. Sixth, if you did bring a 98RT to a tourney, you will be snickered at. Seventh, the detent system blows. Those crappy orange plastic detents. I have a bag of 4 new ones because of my halo B. Eighth, when they get low on gas, they dont work right.

SO what is so reliable about it? you tell me. Please stop showing your noobish rec/woodsball noobidity, its hurting me.

so they can use mech bouncing guns. but can they use an electric gun that bounces? its the same thing almost. i have never heard of a tourny that will allow a mech gun that bounces, atleast not close to where i live.
