how do you devilmag owners like the fact that you payed 900 for a sear tripping, blow forward, mag. I will say it again since ppl try to excuse this fact. WHEN THE PNEUMAG FRAME COMES OUT, YOUR VALUE OF YOUR DEVILMAG WILL PLUMMIT.

W/ the QEV in my Ion (which is LP btw) I can get from 1600-1700+ shots on a 68/4500 fill. It can shoot just as fast as your devilmag legally. And has less kick, quieter, and about the same weight as a devilmag. Only at 300 bucks instead of 900. Im willing to bet that the Ion has tighter groupings than the devilmag based on recoil alone. I know that my emag had mad barrel rise.

Ive owned and built 3 mags. One Karta Emag w/ everything, two mech mags w/ ULTs, etc. And I am selling my mag after gettig the Ion. Id rather have a viking than a devilmag, and Id rather have an ion for a backup than a mech mag.

Why do you ppl care so much what other ppl are shooting? Be happy w/ your devilmag and stop spamming and flamming everyone. And you want us to leave so you "mag" owners can be mature and post intelligent stuff.

I develop and build paintball products for a living,it my full time job. It's all I do and I do it for a wide ranging variety of clientel and companies including some of my own.I don't state opinion as fact and I only state facts based in my extensive past personal experiences over the course of my time in the industry. the devilmag is not $500 better then the ion. someone with a devilmag should compare the performances without bias and report back. i bet the ion would do just as good as the devilmag in performance.

Now wait a moment here. Two things, obviously you have far more knowledge of the situation, the "technology", and the operation than I do... I give you now that you may very well be right. And you are right, you did nothing wrong... is it all SPs fault or is it partly AKAs and to some degree your own?

AKA made a marker that was in violation of SPs patent. Apparently the violation was obvious enough and undefendable enough that they chose not to defend it (there are obviously other possibilities). You depended on AKA to have made a marker that they legally could make. Partially your fault for not researching this but to be fair... well who could have expected you to.

Yes.. SP stopped production, but AKA agreed to it. Is it not possible for you to continue profitaly by using another base marker? I know SP is fond of private labels but I understand the animosity there. Can WGP, WDP, BLAST, or ICP not offer you a base for yours skills to shine one? It is a wrench in your works, but with your equipment, and your ingenuity and design skills, which based on your past works I have great respect for is it not possible to move forward?

A lot of what I said may not strike anyone as being particuallarly fair. The patent deal was not particularly fair either, I agree to some degree with that - though not to the "they should have done nothing" degree of others. I don't mean to insult you in any way if I have, and I have respect for what you have done in the past. I would hate to think that you would allow one hurdle to end it all, after all the hurdles you have already overcome. I don't mean to come off as some SP zealot either... I do try to consider both sides of the issues, and would like to think I have a middle of the road view. Obviously with minimal personal investment (time, energy, money) I can have an understandably "softer" view than anyone at Destructive Customs. I also think they can justify a much stronger view than the line some people seem to take.

Actually, I believe that DC is working on new marker designs. Mainly a Freestyle one that I know of.

But if you put all the time and effort into trying to make an awesome, quality product and tehn got stiffed I think you would be put out too.

Put out yes... annoyed yes... But is it truly SPs fault? Who made the decision to use the Viking as the base? Who made the decision to produce the Viking in violation of intellectual property law or without full investigation? It wasn't SPs. There "addition" to the patent (I'm not totally familar with) may have been sneaky, but I have not seen the patent kicked down, just shared with WDP based on an equally sneaky move by WDP involving a failure of Dr Hischel (?) to sign a work product agreement with PVI. This is my outsider opinion, please not I do not know enough patent law nor have a I reviewed pleadings and decisions enough to make anythign but a reasonable guess. Regardless of the addition wasn't the Viking using several of the patentable ideas on the original patent application? Its not SPs fault that DC did not investigate the base of there product. If I started to make a "custom" Cavalier this year I would be kinda screwed to, for a lack of investigation of the likelihood of it continuing. Granted its not as obvious as the Cavalier example but it surely was not SPs duty to investigate it for DC.

Annoyed yes... he should be, but he needs to look at who is responsible for his business decisions.

No, I'm older than you. I bet I've been playing pb longer than you've been alive. I got pissed at you because every Ion thread, you posted about your damn sear tripping Devilmag. No one cares. My other point was people here talk about every type of gun, and you only bag on Smart Parts guns. Oh, BTW, my vision Shocker will kick the arse of your Devilmag...............

honnestly dude not much will kill a devil mag. And i HIGHLY dought your little shocker will. I've seen shockers w/ ramping and a devil mag will keep up if not go faster

Lohman446, Shartley I completely agree with you. In fact, both of your responses were overkill because I just wanted to know if you would have been put out as well, and both of you said yes.

And people who are saying the DevilMag is overpriced, just remember that to get a Predator Board installed is close to $300 on any marker. So you are paying for more than just a Hyperframed Mag.

And I would honestly hope that the DevilMag is faster than an Ion, it has a pretty expensive set of electronics in it after all...
