Neither warped.. I'm just not a lemming that buys into SP hype. Especially when I have seen 4 IONS go down straight out of the box. In the hands of people that know what they are doing. I'll stick with my mags and palmers. Companies that actually make good products. And last time I checked this was the Automag Owners Group. Not the ION owners Group forum.

Yeh.. because everyone who buys SP is a lemming. None of us make informed decisions based on the positives and negatives of what we are buying. If you buy SP it must be about the hype

you got that right, vonort! this ion stuff is getting old. but what do i know? i got flamed on this thread because i shot a well put togeather, high end, custom gun. trust me. i can buy ANY marker i want. if i want 3 ions i can do that. so i'm to feel bad because i CHOOSE to buy somrthing that will last more that a season or two? from what i understand, ao is mainly for the AUTOMAG community. ok, talk about your sp junk.fine. but everyday more ion threades? yes! we all understand the ion is a freat priced marker. yes! we all know how much "better" it is than any other marker out there i guess i'm an idiot because i refuse to buy into the sp hype and buy their flash in the pan gun. and i guess i'm an even bigger idiot fot thinking ao should be for automag fans.

You do realize, if everyone who did not own an automag walked from this forum that it would be a much smaller, much more lonely place and you would loose a lot of knowledge right?

Please just STFU. If the angel was the same quality and tolerances as the ion, than why would it be 1200 bucks more? i can promise you, wdp doesnt make 1200 bucks of profit per g7. sure, it might be a few hundred, but cmon now.

Nice answer. You flamed me and violated the cuss filter. That lends so much weight to your argument I can barely beleive. I must be wrong, you can use naughty words and insult me Anyways, back on discussion. So your logic is because it is $1200 more it must be better? Or you know it has better tolerances because you have measured it? Or you know it has better tolerances because you have seen a specification chart? So the DMC that costs $200 (just a guess) more than the DM5 is of higher tolerances because it costs more? I'm taking it when you state it has better tolerances this is based on a quantitative analysis of at least technical specification sheets or better yet measurement of products with proper instruments. Or are you just guessing?

And yes, I beleive that Angel can produce the G7, including milling and anno, for less than $500 if one does not include research and development. I don't include it because the rumor on the Ion is that it was a discarded 03 Shocker prototype, so there was probably very little R&D specifically into this marker. When producing to a niche or small market - to me that would be nearly all of paintball except for maybe Kingman, BE, and Tippman there is room for incredible markup on your product. I believe it is there.

You state, seemingly without question, that the G7 has better tolerances. What do you base this on? It costs more so it must? Poor logic, and a poor argument. I have never stated that they did not have better tolerances, I have simply stated that most of you stating it do not have the knowledge to state it without question. Than one has to ask yourself if tighter tolerances are better. As has been stated before sometimes looser tolerances allow more forgiveness in operation - I am not stating though that the Ion is purposely engineered looser.

Your promise that WDP does not make 1200 per G7. I have no idea what dealer cost is. But I am assuming that when you state that without question you are familar with WDPs cost on this marker and dealer cost? You seem to be able to so easily state profit. Have you ever been involved in the cost and profit margins of a major paintball marker manufacturer? You base this on some expertise in the field right? Or are you once again wildly guessing and stating it as unquestionable fact?

Nothing against the Angel... but are you mad at me or are you upset that a much cheaper marker can compete under the current rules and you have gained little useable technical advantage? Its ok... I feel the same way about my DevilMag that I don't even have yet

Out of curiosity, are you one of those 13yr old kids that nobody at the field likes because you nose your way into conversations that you really shouldn't be in, just to try to prove you can hang out with the "guys" and then they all laugh at you and make fun? We have those at our field too... eventually they learn to have some respect for those who might just have more experience than them and know more, or at least figure out that they are 13 and don't have a friggin clue. Then they become tolerable.

well, i'm 37. i guess i'm old enough to know when to quite arguing with you. and i really don't think you understand the operating concept behind the devilmag. i don't think the blow forword system can be termed a sear tripper. and i'll say this. it's not that i get pissed that you are posting about the ion, warped. really. not at all. there have been alot of threades started latly. now, maybe i'm a little too hard on the ion. ok. fine. i don't mean to offened anyone. i shot a devilmag. you shot a shocker. which, btw, i almost bought instead of my emag. i wanted to stick with agd. been shoting agd markers scince cf00213. so i'm not trying to bash anyones marker of chose. sorry if i offended you.
