ya know what, instead of telling a story about how players new to paintball ask stupid questions, how about you telling us what you did that as a new player that was funny!
I'll start:
My second time playing paintball was the first time I got to use a semi-auto paintgun, it was at Paintball Blitz in Gurnee, IL. and it was a VM-68 (it was 1992) My friends and I got into a good fire fight with a group on the other team. I yelled to my friends to fall back an I'll cover them, I stood up and pulled and held the trigger, expecting a stream of paintballs to come out, but only one did. Confused I staired at the gun and got lit up by 4 guys. After the game I asked Dan (owner of the field and Air America) why won't my gun shoot full auto when I hold down the trigger? He laughed, but then explained how the VM worked and 2 months later I bought one.
I was 18 at the time, which is old by todays age group to start playing, but thats how it was. There was no internet with boards like this, just my issue of APG that I re-read a 100 times.
Because of the way I was treated by Dan, not only did I get into the sport, but so did my 5 friends, we all had VM's. Think about that when a newbe or "noob" as the "agg" kids call them, asks you a question. Help them out and you'll probally add a new player to the sport, belittle them and their gone for good.
