Most over-hyped gun?

I have to say, I was skeptical of the cyborg, but after getting it, almost no kick accurate, light. Beats the crap out of timmys, angels, or any other ram-driven marker.

Over Rated: Ions, Angels

Over Hyped: Angels, Newer DMs

Under Rated: Freestyles, anything icd

The reason Angels are so over rated is just the marketing. All this 14 way stuff, its a waste really. Also, they arent that good, at least the ones i shot sucked.

The newer DMs arent that good either, im sorry but i shot one and i wasnt impressed. It was slower than my Freestyle with a stock board.

Underrated, definately freestyles. I walked into the shop, and with the nox board in, i put it on milenium ramp and just went. It was shooting 24ish. Mind you, ive only spent 400 on the gun, which includes the price of the nox. This thigns consistant and has barely any kick. Anybody at my field looks down on ICD products. There are only a few who like freestyles, and they are "saving" for one. The freestyle is cheap, fast, only downside is gas effeciency. I still get about 4 pods out of a tank.

Vikings are overrated because everyone seems to put them on a pedestal. They are on par with every other higher end electro out there and thats it. But for some reason everyone thinks they are magical - and i just don't get it.


As far as over-hyped, I'm not really sure. You would have to think of the context for when it was hyped/released and what else was out there to compare it to. Dm4s, I don't think were overhyped. If you think about it, look how much different it is than the standard Matrix (or DM3 if you want to call it that). I would say they definately delivered on improving that design. They also are still are probably one of the best guns you can get for the money - they are down to like $700 used.

I do think that overhyped guns would be most of any 2k5 series of guns, like dm5, dmc, 2k5 timmy (especially alias, ripper). I mean these guns are EXACTLY like the older models except they might be 2oz lighter and now you have to buy some unstandard upgrade that you can't use off your older model. Oh and not to mention their infamous $1500+ price tags.

Underrated is a tough one for me because I would probably have to use/see them in action before I judged that. Automags do come to mind just because all the 'cool kids' don't like them.

Over rated has to be any DM 4/5/C ... like 50 % of our advanced group at local field is them, and i cant possible imagine that they are *that* good, specially looking at the price.

Under rated gotta be my new FS-7 lol ... havnt even gassed it up (stores compressor is broken ) but i naturally love it since its mine. And it was cheap. (relatively!)

Under rated - PGP...Frankly, they are an amazing pistol-pump marker. But yet, they cost what, $100?

on here they seem to be as you say, put on a pedestal, on pbn they are bashed because they arnt all super flashy/the kiddys arnt educated about them. But, the reason why they are put on such a pedestal is- in my experiences- they are more consistent, faster, have less kick, are easier to maintian, and are more efficient than any other high end marker.

Most overrated: Dye DM4/5/C
Most underrated: Blades, they are multi purpose. Doorstops paper weights. They look cool. Shoot in curves! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

I dont have an oppinion on overhyped, but I do on under rated.
I think that the Diablo Wrath is under rated and that it is actually a very good marker and with the tboard I would rank it up there with most any high end marker.

Over-rated stock Shockers. I dont think I know anyone with one that hasnt sent it back to SP at least once.

Overrated-Intimidators
Over hyped-Entity matrix, by far. A big 'ol matrix with a squid milled on the side, wow. WDP runs a close second.
Underrated-Cyborg. Stock trigger sucks, but once you mod it, its an amazing little gun, and so light and easy to handle.

No, wraths are nothing like actual high end guns. Wraths still shoot just like a spyder.

Uh yeah.. my cyborg is consistant .286, .285, .284, over a chrono, super fast, barely any kick (I swear it feels like a trix shooting), and is super easy to maintian, not quite as easy a a vike, but still damn easy. Very un-imp like, since I had got rid of an imp right before I got this think, they feel totally different, and the cyborg shoots ropes around the imp.

But yeah, its preference...

hmm, as a person who started when a mag or cocker was be all end all, and hasnt actually played much in several years...

overrated = electronic super paint throwers

underrated = mechanical semi-autos or better yet even...pump guns
