Under severe technicality probably not in stock form (not that technical if hybrid mode is available) with stock software. However, the major issue is overcome by removing the trigger rod. This puts you into a real technical issue of not being able to chrono exactly right. However, the chances of any ref knowing AND caring about this are slim to none. Don't get too concerned, go out and play, and have fun with it.
Ok I thought about this. Leave the trigger rod in and just remove the selector flipper. Now you'd just have a nub. Put the allen screw back in without the fipper so there is something you came turn it with at the chrono station via alllen wrench. It now can be chrono the factory most correct way and it would be very hard to select Hybrid on the fly during a game.
Minus the 4.0 software IMO the other stuff was a tad slow for me, but what is wrong with it now? Like I said before,"using Mag in the same sentence as Tournament people get "...

I dont think anyone in this conversation got , different views are not necessarily stupid. Yes, it is possible to make it fully tourney legal with enough modifications.

Exactly . Most local tournaments wouldn't care, but some cases there may be some mods needed too comform. Software is ok, but if you want to have what the other guys have these days a software upgrade is in order. Emag and the Xmags are not dead in the tournament scene just because AGD doesn't support a tournament team. Dust off thoughs mag boys and gals and lets take back a small piece of the pie!

That's all anyone has said since the begining.

Sure seemed like alot more typing though.

          Oh , Aggrivated :

I'm sure there are no longer Chrono rules for Mags on the books currently , Mags have been out of the Tourny scene for so long that no one cares about them anymore. When they were more common place and especially after the RT was released , it was pretty much common knowledge to have them chrono'd as AGD specifed and to check for excessive trigger bounce. The emag , with it's inclusion of the mode switch neccesary to comply with that added another point of contention for legality. Now you can add to that software without a tourny lock.

But as been stated and concieded , no one really cares about Mags anymore or really knows anything about them so the likelyhood of gettting pulled because of that are fairly slim even on a national level.

Well I might have the chance to see. I have been notified I might be added to the roster for Chicago. If if does happen for me it will be my first time in such an event. Emag at Chicago, yeah I like the sound of that.

Prolly be fine. I've gotten around WorldCup before.

The younger Refs nowadays have no idea. Just tell them it's a custom Shocker and you'll be fine.

Just to add a fly in the ointment, If you chrono'ed an RT or Emag as per AGD's instructions unless you had the input pressure too high (and it varies from marker to marker) then 9 times out of ten you would past chrono...however real world chrono'ing...IE @if I can do it, then so can you' meant many RT's and especially Emags would not be allowed on the field. I believe RRFireblade is talking about Me when he talked about Emags being allowed at World Cup a few years ago as pretty much to a man ALL the Emags were bounced (literally and figuratively) from being used on the field. Most all of the problems were the players attempting to chrono themselves at 295fps...go for it, I will jump you easily if you are silly enough to set it that close. I personally I have jumped an RT from the user setting at 270 (with a 275 field limit) with no tools and simply knowing how to do it to 330fps.
If you presented to me a marker that if you moved switches etc and it wouldn't change how the marker fired then I could care less if it has a rod inside or not, the first thing on the chrono you do when presented with an emag is to switch to manual and then let the fun begin. This isn't a hating on AGD or anything else if the particular marker that was subseptable to this was AKA or Smart Parts the same comment would apply. Hell I can jump poorly setup Angels 10 fps without much effort.

In short the emag IS legal to be used in tournmaments but needs to be correctly set up.
Bend any rule regarding rate of fire or method of fire or velocity and you will be not allowed on the field. Rules are not a target to avoid they are the limit to which you adhere, Go over that limit and you are breaking the rules and should accept any penalties that come your way.

Thanks for the reply. It seems to me then the simple solution would to have an Emode that simulates holding the trigger back then the quick release. I think someone mentioned that already. Or is that over-simplifying it?
