So... no clamping feedneck? And if we put a clamping feedneck on there we would need to uninstall it and reinstall the 7/8" pipe for warp?
What are the possibilities of purchasing a second breech? How much would it cost?
I am just thinking or a more or an xmag stand point than a do everything at home with tons of tools to swap setups stand pointComment

just guessing the warp/powerfeed feedneck would be one of these.
and you would use a std angel feedneck for the vert feed.Comment

What we are trying to say I think is... the rails can't be milled into the body, but we have covered it earlier - mounting holes can always be drilled and tapped to mount anything you want for add-on rails. There is just no room for an integrated rail. What you are seeing here are the "add on" rails that we have discussed before. I think they look awesome if you want to go pic-and-run...Originally posted by ZoomZ@PTPNope

What he meant was that it doesn't actually spin, you remove it, reposition it, then remount it.Originally posted by Tracy_ptpThe feed does rotate!!
So really, the slot isn't necessary as much as just a few recesses and a hole giving the detent clearance.
Like, perhaps instead of a slot that looks like this:
_________
|________|
It would look like this:
_______
|||___|||
If that makes sense...
Or maybe even a curve instead of having the slot milled all the way down.
Might make it more stucturally sound.
Actually, unless you had issues with the detents clearing the 45* angles then only a hole would be needed...Last edited by Watcher; 01-25-2009, 06:05 PM.Comment

I think what doc_Zox was saying is: instead of having the user rotate it with in place, the user could remove the breach and slide it in from the front. Doing this you would only need to clearance the bottom dead center for the detent. The sides may need clearnced for the 45's also, but that still allows additional meat on the body, and no visible hole through the side of the body when the breach is in place.Originally posted by Tracy_ptpThe feed does rotate!!
That little change would add a decent amount of strength to the body since it would increase the minimum cross section below the breach.Comment

Yes the "hole" "recess" is for clearance for the detent. but do not worry about the body being solid. We went to a higher grade of material to make sure it would be solid.Believe me when I say Forest thinks things over. That is what has made our products successful over the years. We do listen to your concerns, but you need to trust us on this. We have not put out a product that is not of quality before and we are not about to let happen now. Please don't make us mental (we can do that on our own
) And LK-13 reposted my pics, and I make look sweet and innocent, but I am very much a tiger!!!!
I am a mother and protector and that also pertains to our business.

i see what he is getting at since you must remove the front protion of the body to rotate the breech anyway why not cut a channel that the detent will sit inside and since you have to take the front off it wont have to clear the edge with the detent it can actually just slide right in the channel as you set the front into place with the breech turned as you want it2k2 Angel LCD

nope, he (doc_Zox) wants to git rid of the channel idea. he just wants a "recessed pit" inplace where the detents will sit. that way you dont see a channel through the body. and the reason he wants thit that way is because you have to take the front part off anyway to move it, so why need a whole channel for something that dosent just "spin".
