Let me try and clear up a few things for you. Either way will work it's just a matter of how it will bounce.

    There is no "UK way"

right and wrong are relative terms... meaning there are only 2 ways and one AGD says is correct and one they say is wrong.

One way when the gun bounces if will fire a few extra times during the trigger pull. The other way it will fire extra times during the trigger release...

To fix the bouncing problems simply increase the FIX. My software is designed to handle the bouncing problem no matter how it is wired.

Pardon my ignorance, but when you say "bounce", what exactly is it that you're refering to?

BTW, I have the X-Mod programmer en route

Based on what he wrote,.. hes talking about the "electronic noise" in the trigger system and how the fix filters it out.

I dont think the term "bounce can be used as such now adays IMHO because for the AGD community, we relate this to the special "kick" and high ROF the AGD valve systems can give you.

Now adays you have electronic bounce "e-bounce" and mechanical bounce "mech-bounce".

The term "bounce" is widely miss used as I see it today.

see above post, I am referring to electronic bounce. What I mean is that in one pull and release of the trigger (in SEMI or RELS mode) the gun fires more than one ball.

I have everything hooked up, driver installed, AVR installed and running, I have xmod 1.8 downloaded from the website, but all it has is a bunch of various BPS/ms? What setting should I run?

              I'm confused

              I loaded the 4bps - 250ms

edit: for the record, what do the NXL, PSP and MIL acronyms stand for?

The differences are in when the ramping starts. The lowest IIRC is 4bps. Since there is not enough room on the stock emag board to make that adjustable, Lornecash made separate versions so you can use whatever your preference is.

Xmod is working fine! It's a very cool addition to my Emag

...and it wouldn't hurt for LorneCash to leave me a (positive) ebay feedback :)

NXL = Settings for the legal fire mode of the event using NXL registers

PSP = Settings for the legal fire mode of the even using PSP registers

MIL = Settings for the legal fire mode of the even using Millenium registers

All settings are programmed EXCEPT the BPS kick in rate. You need to load the BPS rate on Pauls web page that carries with the rules of the event you are playing in.

The ROF is GLOBAL in his XMOD software. Meaning that you have to set the ROF cap as well because all the settings honor this register. Best bet is to set it at 14 just in case that the shot buffer gives the extra shot. So a setting on your gun for the PSP tourney series would be like this for example:

                    MODE PSP
DWELL 15 <--- you can use whatever you want
                    ROF 14-15

Example: if the BPS rate to start ramping is 4bps for the PSP,... you would load the "4bps - 250ms" because thats sets the software for the proper ramp register.

Like listed above,.. due to the lack of room on the chip,.. he had to leave these out and let the user load the ramp BPS on their own. Small step really,.. but something some people overlook.

Paul, you are a God among men. Thank you so much for bringing my Xmag back to the limelight. Incidently, I did not buy my controller from you. I picked it up from another AOer. How much would you charge to build a custom welcome message? Thanks.
