True. The xmod is so much nicer. Code to conserve battery, firing modes, calibration menus...everything. Go to it and never look back.

Hi,

I just my cable and programmer. I've been following along the directions and downloading the required software. When I get to the part where you download the USB driver I'm running into issues. The manual I have states that you should download Icprog-AVR_1.0 - but I can't seem to located thefile basde on the intructions in the Xmod manual.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

I cant get the avr studio to work, after i download the file, and i go to click on it, it looks like it wants to open a dos window, but closes right away. What to do

Email Lornecash. Sounds like you have other PC issues going on there possibly.

im new to emags and new to xmod. i just got an emag with xmod beta 1.8. you have reccomended settings that i set my marker up with. it shoots fine so my question is you reccomend the dwell at 15 or less and the fix at 46 or as high as you can get it. so why is everyone here putting there dwell high and there fix low? im just trying to learn about the emag and xmod and have the best settings i can. thanks and what do you reccomend for setting now? thanks

These guns all have a mind of their own. The FIX eliminates the shot buffer.. so you want to keep that as low as you can make it without the gun bouncing.

Dwell is all preference. I believe AGD's software the dwell is 30ms. I can get it to work at 13ms. Some guns wont work that low, and need to be in the 15-20ms range.

Most likely it's a bad download or the wrong file. Try again.

thanks big evil. i know about the dwell with other markers but it looked like everyother aoer had there dwell high. i just didnt know what the deal with the fix was. the field i play at it doesnt matter about bounce cause everyone ramps and bps doesnt matter as long as your under 285 fps. its just that the manual recomends the fix as high as you could get it and everyone else had there as low as they could get it. your info helped alot thanks.

For the sake of bouncign you want the fix as high as possible to keep it legal. If bouncing isn't an issue for you lower will allow more if a shot buffer which is also good. Basicly you have to find a balance you're comfortable with in the manual I recommend setting it high for safety reasons. It's kinda one of those CYA things for me to say.

as far as the studio now working it must be because of issues with your computer... I sent you a file in your emial. I named it .ex_ thinking that you would know to rename it to .exe if that was an oversight on my part, my bad. Just rename it and run it. that should take care of your problems. you may also just want to try a different computer.

well i just flashed my mag to the x-mod but when it was all hooked up to the flasher i turned the gun on and it flashed on the led screen the adg 3.2 then low bat, while it was being flashed then nothing after that. So when i hook up that battery to it now it does nothing it doesnt turn on. Is my board fried? i have tried another battery and still nothing

Does your mag have the tunablade or an adjustable magnet? I had tuned my magnet in too close to the HES and that did that to me.
