    ULT mod

Thanks. I'll pass on doing anything else to my mags at this point since I've already purchased and dropped in the ULT's and they're all working fine now.

You know the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

YEs, the one downside to having a performance mag is that the mechanical parts must all be in spec. A $16 investment in a set of digital calipers is money well spent.

Anyone who needs help hit me up and I will do my best.

..And what did Installing the ULT's do?
Dude, the 18v noid is more than enough to to cycle the marker.
      You dont make any sense.

the ult is totally pointless imo. Just put the stock emag on/off, adjust rod lengths, dial in the valve with an adj tank and let her rip

THere have been instances where even AGD has put a ult in emags in instances where they couldnt figure out what was wrong.

It works in there , it just slows down the max ROF. How much so depends on the marker and ULT set up. If it does 'cure' anything in an Emag then you likely have a weak/bad soleniod , a weak battery or sear/plunger alignment problems.

It's not a fix for any of those , just a bandaid.

Fireblade is right... In my manual I tried to stress this and included pictures of how to measure and set the pin lengths.

                  In addition...

I worked on this solution with the AGD tech Roman, so it's not like I solved this on my own out of the blue. They had everything set to spec and even tested the solenoid on all 3 mags, but couldn't figure out what was wrong until they dropped in the ULT. They also determined that the input pressure needed to be raise around 950 to 1000psi. Why it worked, neither of us know, but it's working and it was the same solution for my other two mags, so you can argue that it's pointless and makes no sense, you're all right, but in the end my markers working flawlessly now, so I'm not going to mess with it anymore. Now, perhaps it is only a band-aid, but it'll be hard to know now, since I've used it for a short while, and now it is rarely used because I've since moved on to using a Nexus Ego and a DMC. I've lent my mags out to friends since then, and I've had no issues with them up till now.

If it works like that then all is good. The ULT is likely why they need to raise the input pressure , to compensate for the lack of return force. Ultimately something there is wrong and should be able to be corrected by a competent tech. Why they couldn't , I can't say , but if your satified with the end result then I guess that's all that matters. :)

Now why THREE different markers could not be correctly diagnosed and repaired correctly and therefore required the same 'Bandaid' really has me wondering what's going on down there at AGD.

                      Dunno.

But if I run into a problem in the future, I'll contact you next time.

Thanks again for the help in the past. Your handiwork is on some of the custom work I had done on 2 of those mags. I've since sold the Chromeplated Chord unfortunately and still feeling a little separation anxiety, but I just have too many markers. I nearly sold my X-mag, but it may take me a little more time to let go of it. My rippin' E-tac, may be the last to go if ever.

Here's some pics if you don't remember the chrome one....

I think the pack you made me was the prototype for the rest that you were selling afterwards.

It was , the very first like it.

Yes I remember , in fact I've had contact with the current owner. He's quite smitten with that beauty. It's a shame you let it go. :)

Perhaps the chrome (in that case) had an effect that required unorthodox tuning. Like I said as long as it works , it just seems odd to have similar issues with so many different markers.

Glad your still around and doing well , good talking to you , if that's what this is.

Well, there are other considerations. If you own an Xmag the Xmod software does make it much easier to calibrate the ACE. There is also an EYE HOLDOFF feature and Ace Toggle via the bottom button.
