Not exactly. I have one and a buddy of mine has one. His does have very few games through it while mine is quite old.

I don't know if I have any problem, just wanted to know how to check that if I do encounter any.

Let me give you a little lesson on how any Mag user can increase their max bps by 50%. Walking the trigger I am the same as you, 15-16bps consistently. Use the practice mode to practice raking the trigger... If you don't know what that is here's how you do it. You have to have the stock trigger with the hump in the middle(won't work with a blade trigger) then what you do is move your fingers up and down rather than pulling front to back... The trick is to cross your middle finger and your pointer finger with your pointer on the bottom just far enough crossed so that your middle finger rubs on the front of the trigger guard and your pointer hits the trigger 3 times every stroke. On the way down it hits the middle hump then the bottom and then on the way up you hit the middle hump again.

Here's the math.. one finger pulls 8bps so best you can hope for with 2 fingers is to pull 16bps but with raking the trigger at the same speed you get 3 shots for every stroke which so 8*3=24bps!!! 50% just like I promised... 16*1.5=24bps!!!

I had to practice for a while but I am now able to shoot consistently 22-24bps!!! That is in PR-T mode with the ROF set above 24 of course and the FIX at 0 (Very important). Turning off the solenoid assures there is no bounce and that you are actually pulling that fast.

Had a chance to use it last night for the first time. Wow. I set the ROF to 26 cuz that's what 4.01 is set to so I figured why not. I board is wired incorrectly and I had no FA problems. In practice mod I can hit 15-16 no problem but not any higher so I figure that's the max I was able to acheive but in all honesty who needs more than that.

So, as far as I can tell, I've had no problems yet. Keep up the great work Lorn!
You reached 26? OMG thats awesome.

Thanks Lorn I'll give it a try. Though I do have a Tunablade i need to install one of these days. Should help.

Actually that's just what I set the ROF to. I said pretty clearly that I can only hit 15-16 in semi. And I havn't tried any of the ramping mods or full auto yet. Though if I do manage to hit 26 somehow I'll defenitly let everyone know how I did it.

That is the ONLY way I can exceed 10bps. I call it the manike raking technique as he is the one I learned it from.

First thing I did was create an Xmod folder to put all files and programs into. I had some intial trouble getting AVR Studio to recognize the board with my old Windows 98 system. I followed the USB to COM Bridge for ICmega Modules Device Manager path to the Port Settings-Advanced tab, as someone else suggested, but there wasn't a port assignment menu there, so I went to the Resources tab and reset the "Setting based on" menu to Basic configuration 0007. This changed the COM port from 5 to 4. That gave me a connection. The manual just said that you must remove and re-install AVR Studio and the drivers if you get a "no supported board found" message, but that didn't work. The manual should include instructions on how to change COM ports or at least an indication that you may need to do so. When I pushed the Read button in the AVR Studio menu it wanted to directly overwrite the 1.61 hex file in my Xmod folder with 3.2 with no other save choices. I made a copy of 1.61 Flash.hex in another place, overwrote the original 1.61 hex file, re-named it AGD3.2 Flash.hex and dragged the copied 1.61 hex file back into the XMOD folder for the Xmod flash. LOL, lots of playing around got me up and going with 3.2 saved and a clean flash to the Xmag board. It's time for a new computer. :)

After changing ROF and Fix settings in Practice Trigger mode with solenoid off for a while, the LED BPS readout froze up on 00 and it needed a re-flash to get going again.

              I dry fired:
              Semi
              ROF 17
              Fix 43
              Dwell 15
and the rate of fire was extremely smooth. My first impression is very favorable. Now I need to get busy playing with software settings, plunger rod length(I'm already running a little longer than AGD specs) and trigger magnet placement. My first goal is to find the best Semi/Ramping-capped 15bps settings since that's where I play the most. Then I'll play with higher BPS semi and ramping modes. Thanks Paul this is great stuff and gives me something to do during April showers here on the California Central Coast.

With reference to the manual and all the extra steps to get 3.2 saved, I was didn't know about changing the ports when I wrote that I was just going by how I got it to work. Same thing with the save location. If you look back a page or two, I posted instructions on this thread as soon as I did figure it out. The next revision of the manual will explain everything better.

If your display locks to 0 in PR-T mode all you have to do is, and you are going to kick yourself, turn off the ACE.

Thanks, its good to hear people are happy with my work. It's really an added bonus though. Not so sound selfish but I made my software the way I like it and for me. The fact that I can help out Mag users everywhere and make a few bucks is really all an added bonus. It's helped to subsidize the "Help Paul Get Paint Fund" also which is a verry worthy cause... And donations are always accepted.

                    LOL! Thanks

Ok, been trying to lock in a 15 bps capped rate of fire in Semi. I've only used the Practice Trigger mode so far to gauge solenoid pulses per second. Here's what I get:
ROF: 8- Pulses per second are capped at 8.
ROF: 9,10 & 11- Pulses per second are capped at 12.
ROF: 12 to 31- Pulses per second will peak out at my apparent max trigger pull rate of 16.
So, at least in Practice Trigger mode, the ROF does not incrementaly raise the bps cap 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,etc. but rather caps at 8, 12 and then 16 or I suppose "unlimited" if someone can pull faster. Is this the way it was designed? Has anyone tested the ROF with a bps chrono to see if the ROF adjustment numbers on the display correspond to the actual bps?

Sounds like you may have found a bug... I'll check on that.

Little late in for me but....

Finally had a chance to get paint thru it and over all it seems to work pretty well. I did notice from time to time that it doesn't always match the ROF set in real fire even tho on dry fire it seems to. Haven't had a chance to look into it more , could be a mech issue as I was using 'test' Emag of mine that normally shoot very well but hasn't had an AGD board in it for while.

                        (till now)

I'll try and do a better job of testing it this weekend.

Over all tho, great work Lorne , pretty clean code over all... nice work.

I do , certain long standing business ties has had me honor a request to not release it. (It's actually out there here and there but you didn't hear that from me)

However....my ties to the Automag outway my need for personal gain (sounds all rightous uh? ) and I would still like to see updated software made available for it. So , I'm more than willing to help that happen in any way that won't get me in the dog house. :)

Glad to be aboard in at least a tiny way. I just needed to throw an Emag back into fairly stock AGD form.

SO far the Xmod has been very impressive. It will be nice to have someone with your background giving this a good work-out.
