Did anyone remember the story of how Iraq went into Kuwait and kicked all the babies out of their incubators and practically killed all the babies there in Kuwait that was on incubators? They then proceeded to take the incubators to Iraq. They even had a little girl that said she was there at the time and saw how the savage Iraqis came in and did what I said above.

Well it turns out that that little girl was a Kuwaiti Ambassadors daughter who was no where around at that time. The story came out later as being wrong and a propaganda campaign to grab Americans hearts for a war with Iraq. (This was back in 1990 or 91)

Do anyone remember back during the Iran/ Iraq war where we supported Saddam in his attempts against Iran. Do you all remember when the US secretly (at the time) gave Iraq weapons, many of which can be considered WMD now (gasses and etc).

Do you all remember that when Saddam was gassing the Kurds then the US supported him, but the second he invaded Kuwait, they made him into a Butcher.

Now do you all remember that the US is pulling out 15 year old history, of which it supported and supplied at the time, to justify going to war now 15 years later.

But it can be GUARANTEED that they WILL strike again, when we let our guard down (because that will happen too... just give it a decade or two)... And fighting Iraq (especially if we do it without UN approval) will just produce more terrorists from the children of the soldiers we kill. Unless, of course, we drop food on them as well

Unfortunately I'm not in tune with alot of the US's forign policies. I'll just use Isreal as an example agreeing with you. If we back the Jewish state, arabs will hate us. If we don't back either side, they both will hate us. If we back the Arab side (don't see that happening any time soon... but...) then Israel will hate us. Yep, no win all the way around...

I never said we shouldn't do anything about it, just that we can either choose to fight terrorism for the rest of the time the US has any power at all, until the American flag stops flying (I pray that will never happen). Or we can start to look at WHY terrorism forms to begin with. Of course it is going to include many reforms that will realisically not happen, an entire culture will not change our ideals, and if we did then we admit defeat. But maybe there is something we can do to help ease the tensions with terrorist groups.

Now before you start calling me a traitor, I was just as outraged at every attack on American soil as everyone else... I just think everything happens for a reason.

This has been said many times before but, we elected George Bush for a reason. Let's see (hope?) that he does his job and does it well. I feel sorry for him as he was brought into office at the boiling point of all these international affairs. I just hope he doesn't pull a Louis XV ... "after me, the flood."

Hah I was really bored so I drew this cartoon (irrelevant, sorry if it offends anyone.)

Iraq has played us all for the fools we are. he & his country are & were a beaten force & they agreed with a full surrender. now they are doing things behind closed doors, they have NO rights when it comes to the issues regarding wepons of mass destruction. Get in there now & get him out. set up a real government for the ppl of Iraq so that they can live like they want to, not how Hussain wants them to.

                          Haha, yeah that's sooo true.

Madgoat, you are really off the wall with that comment. You're going to judge a president on his linguistic abilities as opposed to his ability to make rational decisions?

EVERY president has been able to war without congress' consent, or an actual declaration of war. There hasn't been a *TRUE* declaration of war since World War II.

Whaddaya think Vietnam, Korea, and the Gulf were? Technically "conflicts" but as far as we are concerned, wars.

                          Bush isn't special.

And I believe the worst thing that's happened since the depression is the decreased mental capacity of our youth, and the way they make conclusions on oppinions and half-truths.

President Bush is the worst thing that has happened to our country since the Great Depression. We rely on a guy that makes up words and can't pronounce half the ones he tries to say. He also now has the ability to declare war when and where he wants without Congress........It is a scary time we live in.....

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of going to war over things but in this case I think something definately needs to be done. We've let them get away with too much and after I saw a news report where Saddam was telling the press that he would turn Iraq into an American Graveyard if threatened them I can't see how we can't do anything. He's obiviously a threat, maybe not a big threat at the moment but I have a bad feeling that if don't do at least something that he's gonna act first and we're gonna be the target.
