A more logical reason is that they know we are gonna go in to Iraq no matter what, and kick ***. So they know they better get in line and be good little children and maybe we will give them some table scraps...

As Shartley would say, a bit simplistic....yes it is, but so is saying they are doing it cause "its the right thing to do".

Actually they sell it to France, Russia and Germany who then sell it to us at a tidy profit for themselves. And we give a ton of money to the UN for food supplies as well as the money they get indirectly from us through this oil sales.

Oh I do not doubt they have alterior motives at all! When you see what kinds of money that are making prewar Iraq they sure want to have a legitimate claim to continue that in post war Iraq. And so they hedge their bets by playing both sides. Certianly thats the French thinking now!

And your numbers come from where?

Saddam is a real reliable source.

So in a country of 24 million people of which about 9.8 million are under 14 you are telling me that 1 in 18 children have died? Since their infant mortality rate is 57 per 1000 I don't think your numbers hold up!
