I agree somewhat but I think we have tryed to work with the international comm. for too long and they take us for granned. For a while now we have been going to war and because of the realtionships we smooth things over just enough to look good and go on. While underneath the smoothed over part there are people like SH and OB who lay low untill they are unnoticed and then out of the blue BAM the twin towers and WMD. I think it is time that we can the relationship building and start standing up for what needs to be done and do it untill its finished. No more smoothing things over to look good!!

We done opened a can of ..... well you get the point!!

    P.S.
I previous stated that my dad worked for Halliburton. I talked to him a long time today while we were laying some ceramic tile and asked him about the situation with the clean up crews. He told me that they (H) didnt even bid on getting the job because of all that people were saying. I live in a town that is basicly all Halliburton and i hear about this all the time so for those people out ther that are still on this "war for oil and halliburton" its not true at all. They dont even really want a part in it. If the truth be known.

Thanks for letting me have my say.

It was a joke post! Hence the ! If you read the article it says Chirac is happy Saddam is gone and then slams the US saying where are the WMD? I was just trying to be funny. Sorry

Afghanistan revealed to the world how much military might we had versus the rest of the world. It is an idea that has not settled well with much of the rest of the world. They realized that we were not just the only world super power in name but in fact. Now I'm not saying that this is bad (I am a U.S. citizen after all) but I don't want our country to be "in your face" about it. We need to be subtle but have the muscle to back it up if we need it. So the argument becomes do we work with the international community or does the international community work with us? I for one favor the former.

Speaking of Afghanistan there is still alot of work to be done there. Here is an article:

BBC, News, BBC News, news online, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

I think we are going to give the 3.3 billion in aid as well.

Yes there still is more to be done.

More workers died during the saftey concious recovery of the 9-11 recovery at the WTS than US Soldiers so far in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I wonder if CNN can make itself even more irrelevant?

Unreal, this was going on for TWELVE FRIGGIN YEARS.

And they had the balls to make the President look like the bad guy.

Yeah those stories on CNN about Clinton and extra marital activities were in really poor taste considering what was going on in the Iraqi regime! I totally agree with you there .

Just register you lazy bastard!!!! It is a story about how CNN knew of many atrocities commited by the Iraqi regime but could not break any knews because they were afraid for the life of their Iraqi staff/reporters.

FactsofLifes point was that it is an injustice that they persecuted Clinton for his extramarital activities while they were squelching stories of Iraqi atrocities.

That is what you were driving at correct FOL

Seven more POW's have been rescued! They were found south of Tikrit. All are doing well and are in good health. However, two soldiers do have bullet wounds. The Iraqi soldiers that were holding the POW's were abandoned by their commanding officers. More here.

Saddam's half brother was also captured near Mosul while trying to flee to Syria. Morehere.
