Well, if we're going to talk Hypocrite, can we please talk about General Clark, the man that has flip flopped on every issue more times then I pee in a day (and I have a weak bladder :) )

But seriously, I think that although there is plenty of hypocisy to go around, we conservatives tend to be less hypocritical then our counter parts.

We went after Trent Lott when he screwed up
We chastized Rush for breaking the law
We were critical of Arnold, and the last minute allegations


All in all, we tend to be more consistant then our counter parts. Not perfect mind you, but better.

We even have a smurf for Govenor. Seriously! I know I am short, but when I met McGreevy at the South Jersey Bankers Association last year, I felt like Andre the Giant. The guy is like 4 foot tall. Put a beard on him and we have Papa Smurf!

Ok.. the far left - nominating Dean or Kerry is like the republican party nominating Buchanon - its nuts.

The fact is, the far side of either party cannot win the general election... either conservative or liberal.

And yeh, Clark really dissapoints me. You will note that my bet was on Clark being the democrats great hope... he can;t even decide if he's a democrat or republican, or how he stands on any issue. I thinks its trying to be that centerist democratic candidate.

Nominating on the far of the spectrum only works if both parties do it. If it was a ultra right winger vs and ultra left winger then we've got an election. If both aren't hardcore then neither can be.

And don't get me started on Buchanon. The man has no concept how to run a country. I listen to him all the time on various programs and I'd be leading the charge against him.

Thats just it though - the Republican party seems to have managed to keep its extreme side out of the primary process. Hence why they generally do not get destroyed like say Mondale in elections. Dole was destroyed, but it was not because of his beleifs, he just was not a good candidate
