Circumstantial evidence is enough for a conviction. Where wwas the article on the blister gas not being correct? I did not see the test results anywhere. Also I thought the tests were going to take more time.

Here is, once again, the fundamental difference in our beliefs. I could give an impassioned cry as to why I think you are wrong to believe this way but that would only lead us to go for 20+ pages back and forth and neither side will change their position.....

So I'll wait to discuss another topic we haven't beaten to death....

But my response is really only to your comment about Powel's statement. Liberals love to turn up things like that as kind of a "see, even your own guy says it was a bad idea". But that's not what Powell said. He didn't say there wasn't a connection or that we shouldn't have gone in, he admitted we lacked so called smoking gun.

And for the people that want it proven beyond any doubt that Saddam had armed terrorists before we tried to do anything about it let me try this one on you.

Your 15 year old daughter has a high school teacher that is suspected of drugging and raping several girls your daughter's age, but it has not yet been proven at the 100% level, although it seems pretty likely. Should you just sit back and wait till he rapes your daughter before you get him out of the classroom? Or is the credible yet unproven suspicion enough?
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

Put on administrative leave pending an investigation yes. Thrown in jail as a menace to society because there is no time to have a thorough and proper investigation, no.

Besides I hate arguing hypothetical situations. When people start saying, "Lets imagine for a moment...." rather than "Here are the facts...." it says the facts are too weak to stand up to scrutiny on their own.....

He is making an analogy. They are useful in helping us understand a complicated idea by paralleling it to an easier idea involving similar logic.

In the cease fire from desert storm Iraq agreed to many terms of surrender. They then violated many of them which would have made them open for a new invasion but the world was not willing to act. Until Bush in my view because of these violations of multiple UN sanctions and a change in the way we handle "shady" governments as a matter of foreign policy. Womd aside he had pushed the hand of the UN untill the US could not let the violations go for the simple fact the the rest of the would would look at Iraq and think that they could violate any sanction they wanted. We the US and the willing put the teeth back in the UN.

AAron did you read the link where clinton said there were womd in Iraq and that is why he bombed Iraq?
