Warhammer 40k'ers, how much is too much?

I understand. The shooting thing does not work well when a unit or two of Chaos Terminators are deep striked right into you. Though, they have some really cool looking models.

By the way, do you know where I can get a Forge World Vulture Gunship cheap?

By old school standards it was about 4000 points ... which is allot. We are talkings Squats in exo-armour, trike troops, original mole motors and thudd guns (before the imperial guard had points lists for them) ... etc.

as in awesome i mean something that is truly fun, that only i will get into and will fail miserably at getting my elitist friends to get into. looks like i can save a lotta money by just realizing i'm doomed to play Go with myself for the rest of my life. waaaaaaaaa....

i love the tau ive been playing them since their release a couple of years ago, and have been told by about 10 different people i have the most aggresive tau theyve ever seen, ive been coverting them to be a darker/chaosy tau(since the beggining), and am almost done collecting and painting i need 4-6 more develfish and one more hammer head though(ive got 24 battle suits) its a great army because i know what im doing with them(won 2 rouge trader tournies with them) but a newbie will find them very difficult to play as the new tau players regularly get stomped at my local store, remember a static fire warrior, is a dead fire warrior

The main problem with theyguy that played them in our little group was that he would let a chaos lord and his retinue close with them. Not smart at all.
Though, I like the angled then curvy look of the Tau.
I've moved on from Chaos for the momnet. I'm in the middle of building an Imperial Guard army. It was just too easy to win with Chaos.

My brother plays alpha legion and uses GOBS of human shields. Only difference is that every once in a while a freaking Deamon Lord pops out of one. Eh, My boyz can chop any Deamon out there.

So...this Warhammer game is like playing army men on crack.

It seems pretty geekish but it's really fun. No, it's not just swinging little army men around screaming "woosh! pow pow!" There are movement rules, shooting rules, assaulting rules, close combat rules, a very complex system of hitting and wounding an opponent. It's really a fun game. If you're interested I suggest going to you local hobby shop and checking it out.
