Warhammer 40k'ers, how much is too much?

Yes Necrons have some scary stuff. The only upgrade that they have for troops is called D-Fields. It causes a glancing hit on a roll of 6 regardless of toughness on close combat. Then The Gauss weapons do the same thing in ranged combat.
That will rip anything apart. But if you load up on template weapons you do not have too much trouble taking them out.

Hey just finished this bit of forest. I like forest cause it's pretty and you can't shoot through it. Whaddya think? This figs in this pic are from agame called VOID. I like their rules a little better cause it's squad by squad rather than my whole army now your whole army.

They're ugly but good. Those snipers are sweet and some of their other stuff is great too. I wish they would make new models for them.

So you say they can't have a second go at plastics? Also, modding an entire army of imperial guardsmen would take forever.

i'm not saying that, space marines and orcs prove that wrong. But GW has higher priorities then reduing a plastic set that they did just a few years ago.
