"Did you ever stop and think there would be no United States of America if the French weren't around?"

Incorrect. Nice revisionist history though. Frances help was largely incidental due to the fact they were already fighting a war with the British, and the best way to stab them was to help us. They didn't care about the US.

Plus, the French know the hell of war. The whole country lives in a fear of war because they know that people will die and their cities will be ruined.

In my opinion, the US has very unstable feelings about this war, they're not sure if they're right in fighting, so they blame everything and poke fun at France.
And I realize that we disagree, but I just get sick of all of the conservatives not allowing me to have my opinion, i'm letting them have theirs and just stating mine, can't they do the same?

That's why I'm saying they understand how much a WAR is hell, not a measly terrorist attack that lasts one day.

Some interesting thoughts that have nothing to do with this but I'm going to say anyways.

I have recently taken up archery that has a quite different age composition than paintball on the boards i mingle on. The views being represented are also quite different on each board for a "similar" activity (outdoors, mainly male, etc). Using the wonderful profile button I notice most of the people on here attacking Bush, war, America, capitalism are younger usually 13-16 or so. I find this interesting and somewhat frightening(blind beliefs with an "I told you so attitude") in the upcoming years as they reach legal age.

Many times I have wanted to point this out in threads that became political wars but never have until today. Has anybody else noticed this trend? Thoughts?

Unfortunatley this assult on my intelligence and the attitudes exhibited by the "youth" of America has driven me from a 4 or 5 time user of AO (and paintball in general)a day to a once or twice a week user.

Once again this has little to do with the topic at hand in which I just read Shartley's replies and those following.
There's all kind of songs about babies and love gone right, but for some unknown reason nobody wants to play them tonight.

How about the single most damning example? Selling the Iraqis contraband weapons systems while the UN sanctions were in place.

And the US doesn't? Please, the french know the hell of being occupied.
