This is why you don't race morons for money, you can usually get a good idea who is good for and and who isn't, and if there good for it most likely your going to loose

And why in the hell would you do headers and keep the cat and stock exhaust?

Those mods will actually make the car slower, unless chip tuning is done as well.

Bigger cam means less streetable. A nice split duration nitrous cam will give you about 190 horse on a 150 shot. The torque increse will be well over 200 lb/ft.

For the exhaust an aftermarket Y pipe will work fine bolted up the stock exhaust. That's why they make cutouts, unbolt and you're good.

Those mods will not make a car slower at all, even untuned. It just will not be that fast. But if you notice it says LS1Edit in the list of mods. That is the only way to correctly tune an LS1's PCM. You can not replace a chip in them. It's either that or a Predator flash tuner.

Bigger cams mean less streetable to a certain extent, you can get away with bigger than stock.

Do a full exhaust, headers back don't cheap out on that.

You do heads and a cam on a car, and there is a good chance it will slow it down untill tuning is done.
