History has shown that many things of all political, religious, racial, and other stripes have failed AND succeded depending on the time, situation, and implementation.

As I'm a liberal (in your opinion) and you seem to think that you somehow are omniscent and know my position on everything how do explain the fact I was completely in agreement about invading Afganistan? Or that I feel complaints about racial stereotyping are pathetic? That I feel as soon as the first window is broken in a riot the cops should be given free-reign after giving warning to the rioters? If you support the US and want to be patriotic do you have to support and be proud of EVERYTHING the US has ever done? The US has done some pretty despicable things historically. As has Canada and every other nation.

The only reality is cold hard fact. The pathetic thing is you and the binary thinkers of your ilk (with whom I include members of ALL politcal persuasions) fail to be capable of understanding where and when your brain kicked in and made a judgement.

Reality: Americans invaded Iraq.
Reality: Americans are torturing prisoners.
Reality: Rumsfeld screwed up and didn't tell the president.

Whether you support Rumsfeld, Bush, the initial invasion, are under the dilusional belief Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or that major combat was going to stop because the president said so, or NOT is entirely opinion and perception.

However, to bring this back to the horrors being perpetrated by the American army in Iraqi prisons, it is REALITY and FACT that the rest of the world has to put up with the US continually claiming to be the defender of all that is right and getting all bent out of shape whenever claims to the contrary are made.

Like it or not, the world now has firm and solid proof that the Americans are as nastly low and vile as the claim those they are fighting against are/were. Claims that it was a limited few are unlikely to be blieved by many and are likely to be disproved as more information comes to light.

It is also now a solid fact and reality that the US will have a very difficult time convincing many governments and populaces that they mean well or that they should be supported.

Rather than tackle the issue at hand, he sits back and tries to fluff up his feathers, daring to take a stance without making an argument.
