Yes, but what stops the CEOs, all of them, from drastically lowering their wages?

And if you're poor you don't have that mobility.

It didn't work in early America, I fail to see how it would work now.
"What we have to accomplish at this time is all the more clear: relentless criticism of all existing conditions, relentless in the sense that the criticism is not afraid of its findings and just as little afraid of the conflict with the powers that be."

        Welcome to four pages ago.

Yup, an NBC weapon was found in Iraq. Now, we just need to figure out how and when it got there, and how it found its way into terrorists' hands. That is, did they pull it from the bin marked "Binary Sarin Shells" in a hidden warehouse somewhere, or was it just a random shell that they came across and built into an IED. I understand that the distinction might not matter to many, but clearly the former would have much farther-reaching consequences.

Actually it was a suspected Sarin shell! The proof positive tests results just came back. Read the article.

I have read the article. Looks a lot like the one I mentioned back on page 2.

Fox News was reporting that the presense of Sarin had been confirmed as early as May 18th.

Those were preliminary tests. The ones just back are the incontriverable proof positive ones!

                Field tests vs lab tests.

The preliminary tests were done on the scene. They then went to a lab for further analysis. Foxnews.com reported, a day or so later, that presence of Sarin was confirmed in lab tests. A week later, US officials confirmed that, and AP ran with the story.

One shell... now if we find more then I'll believe in the WMD that we went in to contain. My thought though. They are probably gone for the most part. Probably sold to the highest bidder, moved to Syria or used up most of them on the Kurds.

                      Does two count?

                      From the same story...

What is this - first we (and I don't mean you or I in particular) said no weapons we screwed up - now we say just one doesnt count? If we find a nuke will the argument be well we didnt have any reason to think they would use it? Here it is - a chemical or biological weapon hidden from the UN inspectors. Reason enough to go in.

                            Welcome to AO smart alec.

There is much more to this argument then the WoMD. Do you think there are no more? Also I guess the 25 million people liberated from Saddam don't count either. I am sure most of them are greatful to those 700+ who made the sacrifice.

since that is the reason we went to war afterall.... NOT. It's just one of the handful of reasons that we are over there. What about the confirmed ties with terrorist? what about the suffering and murder of the iragi ppl and the kurds.

That post was ignorant, for a first post you're off to a good start.

Bluestrike senses tingling. I sense Captain Jack is back. Mods? IP Check?

They knew what they were getting into. They were serving their countries. Yes, it is a shame that they died, but the cause was just. Because of their ultimate sacrifice(s), millions of Iraqis now have freedom. We take this for granted, as we have had it now for over 200 years. A lot has changed since the American Revolution, but our basic freedoms have not. Because of our freedom that we have had for so long, it is now taken for granted. I cannot stress this enough. We are now trying to share them with the world.
