Their food is utter garbage. So yea, while the dollar menu might be cheaper AT FIRST, add that crapy Coke, the salty, artery-clogging french fies and the infamous "Super-Size" and you've got money down the drain. never once did i say that fat people are poor. "home of the fat, the poor..." does it say the fat poor people? no, it says the fat AND the poor. and bluestrike, you humor me. jumping to conclusions and saying that i am in fact fat. what a blind strike. i am in soccer (div. 2), school and summer, and run around 3 miles a day when we dont have practice. weighing 120 lbs and coming in at around 5' 7" may be a little overweight, but that is for you to decide. i refuse to eat at any fast food burger chains, and havent drank pop in about 2 months.

And as someone who has lived in Europe, you have a rude awakening on what you think life is like outside the US.

Shartley brings up an excellent point here. Have you ever BEEN to Switzerland, or anyplace outside the USA for that matter? If the answer is no, you would do well to visit before you pack up and leave permanently. One of my best friends used to have an attitude not too dissimilar from yours, and went to Holland as an exchange student our senior year. While he was there he toured all around Western Europe, visited our friends in Germany, etc. He's very glad that he went - because now he knows that he wants to stay in America.
Europe is a great place to visit, don't get me wrong; but he was expecting, as you are, that it would be some kind of bastion of classical learning and liberal thinking (or something along those lines). He was generally disappointed, and said that Europe in general, and Holland in particular, was not at all what he expected. He came back with a much deeper appreciation for the country he had wanted so badly to leave before.

You mentioned Switzerland.. So, basically, you want to leave our country, which is obviously not liberal enough for you, for a nation where military service is a requirement, there can be a fully automatic weapon found in just about any given home, the nation and the cantons thereof are fueled, and more or less run, by the banks, which get their funding at the very least in large part from "shady" sources.. And everyone speaks with that goofy accent, whether they're speaking English, German, Italian, whatever? Watch The Bourne Identity and listen to the Swiss cops in the park. That's what you're in for..
What makes you want to live in Switzerland? The chocolate? The skiing? The watches, the cool little knives the army gets? The fact that they're almost all wealthy? Or just the fact that they perpetually leave other countries to deal with the world's problems, whilst serving as catalyst and banker for the problems?
Again, I have nothing against Switzerland, but they, like the US and every other civilized (yes we are, get over it) country, have their faults. If Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the Caymans, and whatever other countries there are that take the "look the other way" approach to banking would put the world's concerns ahead of their own (oh wait, you mean not everyone but the US does that?), and create banking laws that were less accomodating to criminals (including, and especially, terrorists), it would put a major crimp in their operations. Do you think that would start to bother you after you lived there for a while, or do you hope to have grown out of this phase by then?

ha, yes, i have been to switzerland with a family friend (28 or so) that lives there, and has lived there, all his life. all in all, i was quite impressed. sure it has its ups and downs, the language being one of them, it comes off as a very nice place to live. im not too sure if i would have to join the military there, but i wouldnt really care if i had to. im in good shape, and i planned on entering the US marines before i became disgusted of this <B>*POOF*</B>-hole country and decided to leave.
