Interesting that the left is ready to hang Bush out to dry by screaming over and over that there isn't/never was/couldn't have been WMD's there.

1) it proves that iraq is STILL producing the chemical shells, aka WEAPONS OF MASSSSSS DESTRUCTION aka the ROOT OF ALL EVIL

1) It doesn't matter if they are producing them or not. Tthey said they destroyed all of them. They lied.

2) They don't need "hundruds [sic]" of them. They have at least one more (although the hundreds and thousands thing is probably correct, just not stockpiled). That is justification enough.

3) How many American lives are you willing to bet against the fact that one will not find it's way into this country?

4) Gulf War II is justified by the search for the rest of the said artillery shells. Not by the one that was detonated.

1. Iraq had WMDs, whether or not there were enough to apease the moronic minority is a completely different question.

2. Not sure where you got thiss information. Everyone, everywhere preatty much agreed if anything existed, it would be buired in the desert. What is does prove is that terrorists can get their hands on them, which was the whole concern about the weapons in the first place. Third the shell is obviously old. If the weapons inspections would have continued in the 1990's instead of allowing Sadam to stand defiant, the second war never would have taken place, and this weapon would not exist. All Sadam had to do was abide by the terms of his own surrender, and he and his little boys would be still having fun gassing kurds and sponsoring terrorism.

3. Shell aside, Nick Berg's exocution by a known Bin-Laden ally proves a Iraq Al-Quida connection. That is just the most recent development in a long list of ties to Al-Quida. Whats more, is that the tie itself was all that was ever presented, no one in the government ever said Iraq had anything to do with 9-11, they said Iraq had ties with Al-Quida.

4. To compare Iraq with Vietnam is disgraceful, and shows a complete lack of intelligence. Just becuase your little liberal teacher calls it the next Vietnam, doesn't make it so. There is a big difference in urban and jungle warfare, there is a difference between a police action and a full fledged war, and a big difference in 700 (500 due to combat) versus 50,000 lives lost.

4) 700 and some have died in Iraq. THOUSANDS died in Vietnam. Comparing the two in such a way is foolish, and shows your utter ignorance. If anything, Iraq could be considered a war that was fought rather successfully. We have not had major casualties. Ok, sure, 700 is a lot. Yet compare it to past wars. Civil War? The World Wars? Korea? Vietnam? Need I go on? Ugh.....

im not even going to try and organize all my thoughts so here goes:

do NOT address the acts of a few insurgents as the acts of an entire country. everybody here seems to be jumping the gun and assuming that the shell was produced by saddam hussein's regime. for all we know, it could have got smuggled out of russia or china.

we HAVE been looking for chemical/biological weapons this entire war, and so far this is the only one we have found. my guess is that only a couple more will be found in the same way the last one was found.

never did i say that iraq didnt have wmds. it is very well known that iraq once did have wmds, but it seems they destroyed them, or buried them.

you say that the berg execution was commited by a known Bin-Laden ally and that proves an Iraq Al-Quida connection. there quite a few US citizens that have al-quida or bin laden connections, does that mean that the US has ties al-quida? think, then speak.

the way that the iraq war and vietnam wars were fought were so different that they arent even comparable. however, the false reasoning behind the iraq and vietnam wars are very alike.

the fact that thousands died in vietnam and only 700+ have died in iraq has no relevance. the way the wars fought and the amount of people involved are completely different. heres some fast facts:
US deaths in iraq: 700+
iraqi militant deaths: about 7,000
US civilian deaths: less than 20 would be my guess
iraqi civilian deaths: 10,000
us vietnam war deaths: 58,000
viet cong war deaths: 1,000,000
now lets do some math:::
gulf war II=700/7,000= 10%
vietnam=58,000/1,000,000=6%!
now theres some interesting statistics......

and you guys are right, i have no respect for what this country has become. its filled with an extreme amount of obesity, a certain air of ignorance, and everybody seems to have a "im better than you" attitude. big corporations no longer care for the consumer or the worker, they only care for more money to line their pockets. the government is turning its back on the energy and social security crisis thats bearing down on us. our court system is completely corrupted, in a way that if you are rich you dont get punished as badly as if you are in the working class. illegal immigrants flood across the border stealing jobs from the poverty stricken base of society. womens rights are slowly coming to an end, with funds being cut that go to planned parenthood and other pro-choice non-profit organizations, which means they are cutting back staff (this one hit very close to home). the gov't is restricting research on stem cell research, which appears to be a very promising way to find cures for diseases. the US is no longer the only superpower, maybe in military size it is, but most certainly not in economics. most of what i just said isnt aimed at the republican party, because democrats are also creating many problems. the us is going down the crapper, and when people start to notice that, then maybe the correct changes will be made.

Fox News is now reporting that the presense of sarin has been confirmed.

On two previous occasions, preliminary testing of an IED had indicated traces of chemical agents, but successive testing couldn't confirm that.

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the press will run with this.
