I like how you guys are predicting the fall of Conservatism and you don't even realize it. Since most teachers are liberal, and they educate todays youth, and todays youth become tomorrows leaders, they are passing on their political platform subconsciously to their students.Therefore they teach them liberalism in the class room, even though it may just be a tiny bit biased, it still teaches them liberal views wether they know it or not. This gives Liberalism a slight advantage over Conservatism in the US, and soon Liberal views will gain the advantage in the voting booths.

You are mistaken on that, I saw a long written out speech about it - and why as you learn to live in the world outside of acadamia you learn conservative views quickly. I wish I had saved it, but basically the halls of learning become a refuge of liberalism - and as you work outside of them liberal views become hard to hold. Again, I forget the wording, but it was a great speech.

What ticks me off is how you can get labeled a conservative.

If you disagree with abortion you're a misogynist conservative
If you like guns you're a redneck conservative
If you disagree with affirmitive action you're a racist conservative
If you think people need to take care of themselve you are a heartless conservative
If you agree with war you are a redneck/hick/racist/angry/patriotic/idiot conservative

There are more but i dont want to list them. I am a conservative guy and i have been called all of these when I announce my political beliefs. Most liberals dont give any argument other than "you are such an idiot, how could you think that, you are so heartless." yet they never argue the point. I asked my friend for five minutes why i was wrong and he couldn't answer me. I have a lot of liberal friends as i live in a liberal city, and I can respect their choice of political belief, but it would help me respect them a lot more if they could just give me a reason my belief is wrong.

Mak. I agree intirerly. This is two way street. We could start argueing "who started it" but thats rather pointless. How bout both sides stop. Well that wont work because, as i believe, most people are literally ignorant, oin otherwords they simply DO NOT KNOW. They believe something whole-heartedly but they cannot articulate to you why.

by the way just so everyone knows. IN a nutshell my political beliefs work like this: I am a social liberal(very liberal) and I am a fiscal conservative. SO i like conservtives and I like liberals i just dont like the ones full of hot air.
