That stuff is not for everyone. I have nothing against reasonable hunting, but that just is not for me (i'm not going to eat a hippo but I darn would shoot one coming at me).

Indeed, Hippos are well known for being mean and nasty...Ithought more people knew that anyway.

There are a lot of non-hunters who realise their folly when a mountain lion clamps down on their head and drags them opff the jogging trails in California!

Videos like this do nothing but provide the anti-hunters more ammo to protest.

Now if these guys were Bowhunters now that would be impressive!

I had some thrilling hunts Bowhunting Whitetails in Vermont and Black Bears in Maine.
Anyone can kill something with a gun, Bow hunting is just so much more challenging and the rewards are far greater.

Cant kill with a bow if that something is standing 300 yards away like you can with a rifle. My point is that its a lot more challenging to hunt with a bow then it is a rifle.

Its a lot more challenging to kill with your bare hands. While my example was in the extreme it was meant to be an illustration. How far can you take that?

A lot of people do not bow hunt for moral reasons. I don't bow hunt because I do not practice with my bow enough to reliably down an animal without unnecessary suffering. I don't have the same issue with my rifle.

Jesus Christ. Can none of you grasp the point I tried to get across?

I think the senseless killing of animals is wrong. The end. That's what I see in that film... Nothing wrong with hunting, DEFINITELY nothing wrong with eating meat.

Is that too hard to grasp?

Look, Army, you're obviously not an idiot. You know what you are talking about, more so than me, and I should not have called you stupid... But you're taking what I say, and completely distorting it. I think what the man is doing is unnessecary, and that's the end of it. That's my opinnion, and no amount of 'population control' BS is going to make me change my mind about killing animals for reasons OTHER than NEEDING food.

And Lohman... Please. Could you quite possible say something a little more ignorant? Riding my parents coattails? Do you really have a clue about anything that is going on in my REAL life? Do you think I would tell a forum populated by people like you ANYTHING about my real life?

Define the difference between killing, giving the meat and useable pieces to the local tribes, and senseless?

Oh, I'm sorry... Did I miss somewhere in that video where he states he is giving the meat to local tribes?

Let's watch it again... Nope. It's only assumed because of what others have said.

Either way, he's not getting the meat for himself. He obviously only cares about the trophy, and that's exactly the type of 'hunter' that I really just don't care for. That's my opinion. If you disagree, I can deal with that. I understand. Not everyone has to agree with me, but you're certainly not changing mine.
