Oh, I'm sorry... Did I miss somewhere in that video where he states he only cares about the trophy?

Let's watch it again... Nope. It's only assumed because it's what we are instantly taught to assume by PETA

I don't know...I guess we all just assume that if someone says something against hunting or killing animals they're a PETA freak.

Maybe that should be another thread...then we can all get along and rail against PETA.

Killing a mouse in a fire? That's sort of sick and twisted even for me.

Everyone has to admit that the opening scene, where they make the guy look like some sort of badarse, is pretty funny. I mean, the look on his face, his determined walk, the shifting and loading of the gun, and playing with the knife were all pretty over the top.

And I don't care who gets the meat, that "hunt" looked pretty lame. Anyone who goes home after that feeling like the "Great White Hunter" needs a reality check.

What if they did it in a full 'moon suit' and SCUBA tank? While wading through tsunami induced swamp sewage?

You made a thread devoted to animal-killing stories.

You're obviously not too intelligent, so pretty much, whatever you have to say to me is meaningless.

You did a pretty good job of putting words in my mouth, though.

I like how this "professional" hunter just walked up and plugged the Hippo in the head that was just standing there. Anyone could do that. LoL, I should be one to talk, I hunt with an assault rifle.

Judging by the closeness this guy is in when he does shoot one of these animals, it is only a matter of time before he has a mis-fire and gets trampled to death in turn.

Maybe that Hippo was just standing around and suishing a hunter he just trampled, LOL. Wether the hippo is doing anything or not, that is very dangerously close to an animal like that. It is not like looking at one at the zoo where you have a barrier.

Me, I wouldn't shoot the Hippo (unless forced to for survival). Mainly because i'm not going to eat the damn thing! Has anybody here eaten Hippo?

ok... my head hurts from reading and following these posts. I see Squidds point and what he is getting at. that is is pointless and wrong to kill something for no reason. and the other two guys are getting at that there is no pointless reason because of using the hudes/meats/ bones and everything else even though the hunters may not need/use them themselves. no hunter or any person in their right mind would leave a rotting carcus there, thats illegal. and you can only hunt in the limited times, not anytime you feel like it (exept paintball) so that is in a controled envirnment and under his correct tags.

and the thing about the video... you got to remember this is a pre-view/ad, this wasn't the whole hunt! the whole hunt would have taken hours from start to finish. All this was, was the "finishing blow" to all of the hunts. like if hollywood was to show all of thier movie in the pre-views, we would never go and buy it. or in this case go and call him for services ect. (I didn't read all of his page)

now I am all for hunting things that can hunt you, but like putting down a feeder and shooting the next animal that comes to eat while you sit in a tree all day, thats lame. this guy was on foot tracking these hippos and buffilo's, wounding them to the point to take the finnishing blow and then edited the video and posted it. that is all good.

IIRC, in CT, that'd be illegal (not allowed to hunt deer using any sort of food as an attractant, such as blocks, pours, and feeders).
