The materials in meth are so toxic that it takes a hazmat team to clean up a lab. Now, you can argue that people can do whatever they want to themselves, but people on meth are so unable to function normally in society that they often turn to crime to feed their habit. Even if they don't, they become a burden to their family, friends, or society, as they are unable to provide for themselves. Heroin, crack, and the like are almost as bad.
By that way of thinking, you should ban cigarettes and fast food. They do far more damage every year than illegal drugs do.

As for Mexico, I think its a great idea. Now all the pot-heads in the US will move down there, thus offsetting the whole immigration thing. Furthermore, we will be exchanging a bunch of dead beats and bums for people that are, for the most part, genuinely interested in working hard.

Saying potheads are deadbeats and bums is the same thing as saying the illegal Mexicans that cross the border are lowlifes that steal money from our country.

I know a lot of guys that smoke weed and make at least six figures.

Stereotyping annoys me more and more.

Everyone has stereotypes about pot smokers. They think all they can do is laugh, eat, and be lazy. What about Bill Clinton? What about the hundreds of other public figures that have been through a public office that smoked pot when they were younger? There are polar opposites in every drug debate, whether it be with alcohol, tobacco, or pot. There are thousands of people who drink heavily in the US that wouldn't take a second thought before they hopped in their cars to drive home after a night at the bar. What about the millions of people whose lives have been ruined from alcohol, either directly or indirectly? Why don't people ever talk about the thousands of people who are abused DAILY because of alcohol?

Why don't people ever state the fact that excess alcohol will devolve your mind into that of a 8 yr old, and that excess pot will either make you laugh or fall asleep?
